Galtier is a DJ, Producer and label founder of Nostro Hood System: A thematic label focused on the xenological discovery of an alternate galaxy to our own that sets out to showcase the musical artefacts that originate from it. 

Galtier's productions are crystalline, soundscape-oriented leftfield electronic artefacts that borrow heavily from Techno, UK Bass, World Influenced Percussive Rhythms, Drum & Bass, Dancehall and Ambient, to name but a few. Through these and his other influences, Galtier manages to identify as a standalone producer through applying his deep interest in other areas of cultural media to his sound, moving laterally away from the linear. His distinctive interest in the myriad world of rhythm and percussion - coupled with a love for 1980’s science fiction & fantasy that he grew up watching - help sculpt his compositions into imaginative, thematic electronic tracks. 

With 10 years experience on the controls and an eclectic collection of tracks at his disposal, a Galtier set is limitless. No restrictions on BPM and a desire to keep things ever-changing, expect a massive shift in tempo throughout even a brief Galtier set. His cohesive understanding of music accompanied by his passion for creating his own unique and stylistic approach has won him admiration and respect on an international scale. His back-catalogue features releases on influential labels such as Infinite Machine, NAAFI, Files Rec and Apothecary Compositions, with a slew of releases hosted on his own label Nostro Hood System as well.

Nostro Hood System label founder Galtier enters the chat with a mix which he would describe as “wobbly, wonky, woozy, wubby, whizzy, whippy, whompy, wibey”.  Taking a lot of W's with this one. 

Galtier says, “this hour and a half mix is a coagulation of the mid-range BPM stuff I have found recently. I often mix really slow or really fast tunes, so I wanted to explore the forgotten BPMs that don’t grace my sets or mixes as often.”

There is often a desire to take you away to faraway lands within Galtier’s music, with Nostro Hood System being a thematic label focused on the xenological discovery of an alternate galaxy. The label’s releases are the artefacts that originate from it. This approach has stemmed from his love of 1980s science fiction and fantasy that he grew up on. 

Aside from the label, Galtier is a prolific producer within his own right. His productions have seen him land on labels such as Infinite Machine, NAAFI, Files Rec and Druid Cloak’s Apothecary as well as his own.
