About Mews
From the forest of the west coast of BC Mews was raised in the paws of festival culture. Her passion for music was ignited at a young age and she always dreamed of being on stage. That dream came true when she played her festival debut for The Grove stage at Shambhala Music Festival in 2021. 
She has been shooting for the stars ever since.
Her sound is largely influenced by all types of bass music, predominantly coming from the UK along with R’nB, HipHop, Downtempo and Nostalgic Dance Floor anthems from her youth. You can count on her to get your body moving.
When she’s not playing at a festival or traveling the world you can find her nestled in the mountains of Nelson BC.

Recorded live on Jan 28, 2023 at Dolly Disco in Vancouver.  This is the first time we've played an all night B2B together and it ended up being one of most fun times either of us have had DJing.  We played 6 hours from open to close. This recording captures the arch of energy throughout the night, the spontaneity of trading 3 for 3, the imperfections/perfections of a live set and connection between dance floor and DJ. This set was the final closing set on Monday morning at Bass Coast 2018 on Slay Bay Stage. It was recorded live off the video board and you can feel the spontaneous imperfection.  Morning sets are all about living in the moment, sharing the first rays of sunlight as they warm up the ground, and feeling a connection with everyone else there. The closing hours of the festival are gentle, quirky, and full of beauty. This mix is a lush and warm collection of my favourite sounds from various artists.  I hope you enjoy.  PS the recording was clipping so it's a little rough around the edges...but thought I'd share anyway.
