Twit One is a producer and DJ from Cologne, Germany. Asked what he would describe his sound like he would say Cool Bap. A cool instrumental version of Boom Bap he’s been doing for 20 years + Growing up in Bottrop, a gloomy town best known for coalmining he started to play bass in Punk- and Skabands before he discovered the art of beatmaking in a garden shack of a friend from school. After moving to Cologne he and his friends pooled some money to buy a MPC 2000 XL and he never stopped to make beats from then on. At first he recorded the beats to tape and didn’t release anything, before he got the offer to release his stuff on Melting Pot Music in 2009. The Hi-Hat Club Vol.1 alongside Hulk Hodn is considered a cornerstone of the European Beat scene and has opened doors for a lot of producers to follow. Over the years he has released numerous solo projects and collaborations with Count Bass D, Henry Wu, Lord Jah-Monte Ogbon, Retrogott (as 4Trackboy & Echomann), Hulk Hodn (as Testiculo Y Uno) & Lazy Jones (as Flatpocket). Twit has also been doing the radioshow Radio Love Love for 15 years now and runs the Groove Attack Recordstore with his homie Uwe. He is a sweet soul music ultra but as a DJ also plays Jazz, Hip-Hop and related genres. His latest adventure is his trio - The Twit 1,II,Three - consisting of Twit on the machines, Maxime von Koblinski on vibes and Niklas Schneider on Drums.

Dirty Disco 573: Soulful House, Nu Disco & Uplifting Electronica – 2 Hours of Pure Vibes

Worm Discs have given us a burning hot future-Afro-Latin-soul jazz jam to premiere today by Bristol favourites Dundundun. “What Harm?” is an uptempo and uplifting number featuring the soulful vocals of Marie Lister, of Pete Josef fame and Bristol Afrobeat ensemble No Go Stop. 

Following two hugely successful EPs, championed by 6 music DJs such as Gilles Peterson and Tom Ravenscoft, Dundundun’s new ‘Connected’ EP is a dynamic exploration of jazz, blending modern inspirations with classic influences for a fresh and unique Bristol-inspired sound. The release features a range of styles that show off the band’s musical breadth, from a smoked-out, percussion-heavy reimagining of the Miles Davis classic, Milestones, to a Latin-jazz bubbler inspired by Duke Ellington’s Caravan.
 
A standout track on their forthcoming EP, ‘What Harm?’ is a vibrant blend of Latin rhythms and contemporary jazz, bursting with energy - combining tight percussion, groovy basslines, and irresistible afrobeat-inspired horn lines.
