This time, as part of the "Folk to Trance" series, I’ve taken on Japanese folklore and the amazing traditional Japanese instruments. My set of synthesizers and samplers also includes their unique sounds, so I was able to use them. Shamisen, koto, biwa, taiko drums, and shakuhachi have always had an exotic appeal to me. Now you can hear them in a trance style. Enjoy!

Tym razem w ramach cyklu "Folk to Trance" wziąłem na warsztat japoński folklor i niesamowite japońskie instrumenty tradycyjne. Mój zestaw syntezatorów i samplerów zawiera także ich niepowtarzalne dźwięki więc mogłem je wykorzystać. Shamisen, koto, biwa, bębny taiko czy sahakuchachi zawsze były dla mnie egzotycznie pociągające. Teraz możecie je usłyszeć w stylistyce trance. Dobrej zabawy!

今回は「Folk to Trance」シリーズの一環として、日本の民俗音楽と素晴らしい日本の伝統楽器に挑戦しました。
私のシンセサイザーやサンプラーには、これらの独特な音色も含まれているので、それらを活かすことができました。
三味線、琴、琵琶、太鼓、そして尺八は、いつも私にとってエキゾチックで魅力的な存在でした。

"Acidjazzed Evening" is a chiptune-style, 4-channel Amiga module composed by Finnish demoscener Janne Suni (a.k.a. Tempest).

Tempest - Acidjazzed Evening (CHM64 Remix)

This was remixed by converting Tempest's original Amiga mod file to midi, and then changing the sound to what I desire with Synthfont and Audacity. I had this song on my mind a lot recently so I thought, why not do a remix. Only thing is, I CANNOT use trackers, as they are much too complex for me to have the know-how to use. So, Tempest's original mod was all I had to work with. This required A LOT of hand-done editing of single notes at a time to get this right. So you can only imagine how many hours this must have taken me. Credit goes to Janne "Tempest" Suni for the DPCM drums (which I took directly from the mod file and added a low pass filter to), and for making the original song.

Tempest - Acidjazzed Evening - NES 2A03 Style Remix

I listened to the original Acidjazzed Evening a while ago and realized it didn't sound that much like acid jazz. So this cover was my attempt at fixing that. I don't actually know that much about acid jazz as a subgenre so who even knows if this sounds like it. Maybe I just have a hard-on for funky chords and need excuses to use them all the time. You decide which is true.

P.S I hate VRC7 slightly less now ok

An OPL3 remix of the infamous Acidjazzed Evening by Janne "Tempest" Suni. apparently the song Do It stealed a little bit of stuff from the original song? I'm just getting confused by the YouTube comments on the original.
