As I play more at the Alley Bar, I find myself playing less commercial and more of the music I love.  House, tech house, afro, melodic and of course I finish up with morning music.  If you do hear something you know, it's been chopped up and put back together with a new arrangement.   The crowd seems to enjoy what I'm doing in this space.  I thank those that allow me to create a journey for all.

Slap House is a monthly promotional event for Cannalive Genetics, performed at the Rockwell entertainment center, Somerville, MA.  It was a cold rainy night so those that came out were serious dancers.   A fun night had by all.   The songs selected are some my favorites of the past few years and a few classic 90s house remixes.  You won't find much commercial here but the groove will certainly grab you. ...especially at 1 hour 30 minutes till the end.  Enjoy and share the love.

CHUS LIVE FROM SXM FESTIVAL 2024 (Arc Main Stage)

Burgeoning Boston producer Jouls Juliano connects with three of his hometown’s most talented artists on a gripping new single, “On My Own,” featuring stellar contributions from Rite Hook, REKS, and Justin Clancy.

“I have been building with these guys for a while in the Boston scene and I knew they would all vibe with the feel of the track,” Juliano says of the moody track that deals heavily with darker, more personal themes such as the constant battle against one’s self. And as the producer, he sets the tone with a heavy, murky instrumental that perfectly matches the rhymes brought by his collaborators.

Rite Hook, who also provides the soaring chorus, opens “On My Own” with a verse that could be construed as mentally downtrodden, but is actually rather uplifting for anyone listening. He compels anyone struggling with similar issues to stand up for themselves: “Build yourself to the point where your voice covers the damages.” REKS and Justin Clancy follow suit, both spitting bars filled with thoughtful and intricately written layers, like the former’s highly quotable “Find glory in allegory.”

REKS & Short Fyuz deliver a 1st round knockout with Til He Drop, the 2nd single from their much anticipated collaborative LP, Order in Chaos. Short Fyuz provides a menacing head banger for REKS to spew adrenalin filled bars we have become accustomed to from the underground heavy weight emcee. The duo plans to release Order in Chaos on September 11th on BMGI. Better throw in the towel now.

Frank Knight has teamed up with producer Rediculus and is back with his new single “New York Summer”.  Over the horn and guitar driven track Rediculus provides, Frank weaves a creative narrative that entails the experiences of being a real true New Yorker who lives in the city that never sleeps all while being scorched by the brutal summer heat. The track’s smooth vibe brings forth a cool summer breeze of beautiful things to see throughout the train hopping, ferry riding and every day grinding life of a New Yorker through the life and eyes of Frank Knight.

“New York Summer” is the first single off the upcoming album “Ghetto Psalms of the Knight”.  Ghetto Psalms is produced by Rediculus and shows Frank discussing life from the lens of his life since the shift in the country a few years ago.

“Ghetto Psalms of the Knight” is expected to release on Monday September 9th.
