Dario D'Attis (@dario-dattis-1) has developed a well deserved reputation for sparkling, groove-laden house music over his already impressive career. The Swiss DJ and producer has risen to become a celebrated name in the European scene, having held down influential residencies at locations like Oxa in Zurich and through his own renowned party - Amaro. Here he returns to Poker Flat Recordings to showcase all his musical charm once more.

'Solera' is a chunky slice of floor-moving house music, replete with drum  fills, a building energy and a trippy looped vocal - seemingly the perfect vibe for open air parties.

'Body Somebody' is darker in attitude and its sound design - more of a heads down late night stormer that features a cut-up disco loop that gives the track its title, and a masterful use of suspension and release in its structure.

'Solera (Reprise Mix)' brings back the title track and mutates it into a chilled balearic vibe for the beach, while the 'Body Somebody (Instrumental)' removes the vocal and gives room for the DJ to do their thing.

London star Alexis Raphael returns to Hot Creations with the dance floor killer It’s Kinda Jazzy, with fine French exports Dan Ghenacia and Chris Carrier teaming up to deliver the remix with electrifying results.
Title track It’s Kinda Jazzy is an ultimate peak time weapon. Alexis explains how it’s “a real melting pot of different musical influences that have inspired me over the years. There's everything from Hip-Hop to 90's UK House and Garage, Jungle/Drum and Bass, upfront House and Techno and, of course, Jazz.” On the flip Dan Ghenacia and Chris Carrier deliver a solid remix that keeps the pace, changing gear through trippy turns. Last up, second original track Strip Off lays down the swing with sultry vocal slices.

An influential player on the London scene, Alexis Raphael earned his stripes across the pirate radio stations of North and East London during the late 90s and early 00s and went on to hold residencies at legendary London clubs The Cross and Bagley’s. His first release Spaceship was picked up by Hot Creations sub-label Hot Waves in 2011. Since then, he’s had numerous releases and remixes on labels including Jackathon Jams, Of Unsound Mind, Avotre and Get Physical and not forgetting his anthem, I Know.

Dan Ghenacia is the undisputed kingpin of the Paris underground scene, having founded and ran Freak N’Chic for seven years and now one of the three creative minds behind new label and b2b2b DJ outfit Apollonia. Chris Carrier is another heavy-weight from the French underground scene. Together they have delivered some recent killer EP’s on Appolonia, Music For Freaks and Adult Only.

Now a staple in the imprints discography the collection's feature a wide assortment of talent from fresh and unknown to some of the tried and tested names in progressive house. The label's latest entitled 'Closing With' does exactly that, showcasing new music from Nick Varon, Ewan Rill & Loveski, Hans Seance, Federico Monachesi, After Burn and Stergios Sigma. The collection begins with the deep, techno inspired piece 'Ma Di Tau' from Greek artist Nick Varon. The Hernan Cattaneo favourite dazzles with tough beats, chunky grooves and an astral ambience that becomes irresistible hypnotic over the seven minute journey. Next up Ewan Rill and Loveski continue on a funky, dance floor minded plane with 'Illuminao'. Mystical atmospheres, indistinct vocal gates and a romping groove set the piece in motion before a lovely melodic apex ensues. The collection's third selection finds Hans Seance returning to the label with 'The Purge'. The Indian artist has delivered a deep, pulsating progressive cut with delicate arps and distinctive stabs. Smooth chord changes during the main break shift the narrative from meditative to emotive before the kick drops for a smooth finale.

At the halfway point we have Federico Monachesi making his Movement Recordings debut. The Argentinean artist presents his latest studio creation 'Chrysocolla' which shifts the collection closer to peak time territory with its driving groove, firing percussion and wavering, atmospheric resonance. Next up is one half of the Some Little Things duo Leandro Moyano, who presents the latest from his new After Burn moniker. 'Night Dance' proves to be a standout with its organic percussion, dusty motifs and soulful melodies. Definitely one for a summer day time event. The release concludes with Movement Recordings artist Stergios Sigma returning for his fourth appearance following a contribution to the label's 'Technical Progress' Vol. 7 compilation. The Greek artist's latest studio creation 'Flavours of Death' comes in dark and haunting with a real nose for the dance floor. Dramatic and daring, it's an eight minute journey through brooding tones, ghostly vocals and spine tingling arps. No doubt the best production of Stergios' career and thus a perfect way to cap off another excellent exclusives collection from Movement Recordings.
