“Me costó meterme en el mood ya que llevaba mucho tiempo sin pinchar pero después de unos intentos entré en calor y no encontraba el momento de parar. Al final fueron tres horas. Pensé en hacer un edit y cortar por algún lado pero ya que lo tenía grabado, por qué cortarlo. Os lo comparto tal y como quedó”.  El estilo, el de siempre de Refracted: techno como idea y conducto más que como sonido fácilmente etiquetable. When you meet Stojche for the first time and start talking to him, you are quickly impressed by his personality and how he philosophises about electronic music. Like all great ambassadors of music and their craft, there's a genunine warmth and openness which is hard not to like. This openness is also noticeable in his music, the influences of Detroit Techno and Chicago are unmistakable. The ease of mixing and the extraordinary selection of tracks make his sets something special. Over the last decade he has slowly etched his name of Europe's underground circuit, contributing his music to labels like A.r.t.less, DMK, Subwax, Sungate and Infiltrate, to name just a few. Last year he realised and released his first solo album ,,Urban Chaos'' on his own great imprint Tangible Assets, a tribute to his hometown Skopje.

When it comes down to combining the best of many musical worlds, Peter Van Hoesen can say he's been doing it for a while now. Deeply rooted in the Brussels electronic music scene as DJ and producer since 1993, he's considered by many as a man with multiple musical talents: from straight-up dancefloor jackin' techno to advanced abstract electronica. His music has been released on his own labels Time To Express and Foton as well as through Exone, Komisch, Lan Muzic, Curle, Meakusma and Morse. He's active as a DJ, producer, sound designer and composer for contemporary dance and theatre. Peter currently lives in Berlin.

German musician Tobias Freund is one of the most prominent figures on the electronic music scene. He is a member of Ostgut Ton family and a Berghain resident. 

Tobias.’s interest towards the sound of electronic origins was vastly due to his attachment to analog instruments. Essential part of his influences was musical atmosphere of 80’s in Frankfurt but he still moved to Berlin seeking more creative freedom. For over 20 years he has been taking sound engineer duties and that is significantly reflected in his music. There is no preliminary concept behind his work, it’s formed and developed from experiments. Technical perfection in his music is not at the expense of ignoring dramaturgical side, a proof to what is his every peace of work. Freund’s production as well as his every live-set has it’s own special and unique sound. 

Tobias. is behind of such collaborative projects as Odd Machine, NSI, Atom TM & Tobias, etc. He is also in charge of label Non Standard Productions, which was founded in 2006 and since then is a platform for peculiar and experimental music.

Both as a DJ and a producer, Patrick Gräser aka Answer Code Request has honed a hybrid musical approach that stands out in a world of uniform 4/4 techno. Melding pad-driven harmonies, intricate breaks and an industrial sonic palette, Gräser has occupied a unique space within the Ostgut Ton cosmos since debuting on the label in 2012 and becoming a Berghain resident shortly thereafter. His various releases and remixes for Ostgut Ton, MDR, Dolly Deluxe and Monkeytown Records continue to be highly sought after. As a DJ, he has taken his bass- and breaks-heavy techno to clubs and festivals around the globe, while remaining an integral part of the Berlin scene.

We're back with episode 24! Recorded in early April 2020, this episode welcomes DJ and producer Luke Slater. 

@Luke-Slater has been DJing since the late 1980s, and by the 90s, his many aliases had become household names thanks to important releases on labels like Peacefrog, and Nova Mute. By 2009, Luke had joined Ostgut Ton, continuing to tour relentlessly and produce music with seemingly boundless energy — a quality with which he continues to approach his work today. His stamina is endless, and in order to keep up with the continuing love and demand for his music, it has to be. In this episode, our discussion focuses on longevity as a DJ, his mix for Ostgut's 15th anniversary, and the drive that keeps him going.
