Soul Intent follows up his massively popular “Wanna Fight EP” (released on Klute’s infamous Commercial Suicide imprint) with 3 pieces of sci-fi infused excellence via his own label Lossless Music. 

“What I Wouldn’t Do” features the sublime vocal talents of the Swiss based songstress LaMeduza. Originally written against a slow stepping beat (original mix will be exclusively available via the Lossless Music bandcamp store) this amen rollout mix features a beautifully processed amen break and dream like atmospherics. A superb slice of futuristic jungle. 

LOSSDIGI001 marks the first digital only release on Lossless and Soul Intent had this to say  - “With vinyl production times being what they are, and people seeming to care less about the format of their music these days it seems an appropriate time to start some digital only releases. This enables us to release more regularly and I can start to feature other artists. To be clear though, Lossless is still very passionate about releasing on vinyl and we have lots of fantastic 12”s on the way.”

A purveyor of the spectrum’s deeper end, re-known for an ever quality output, we’re pleased to present the 2nd album from Zero T, entitled ‘Golden Section’, coming on Dispatch this Autumn.

Taking its name from a classical mathematic formula (illustrated on the album’s artwork), Zero T explores the science and maths behind beauty; the factors and stimuli that govern our perception of balance, harmony and beauty in nature, art, architecture and composition.

Exploring intrinsic reactions to music and how discerning elements can balance against one another, Zero T ventures into the senses across the album; from the mesmerising nostalgia of ‘Macushla’ and dubbed out roller ‘Everything Must Change’, to dancefloor poised punishers ‘Good For Nothing’ and ‘Wolf Tone’.

Comprised of 13 original tracks, plus two additional bonus tracks, the digital album predominantly features solo jaunts, such as the blissful title track ‘Golden Section‘ and opened by the elegantly arranged ‘Late Nite Movies’, however a few special guests also join the picture, for some more technically focused collaborations.

Linking up with Fierce on the unrelenting, yet, mischievously sampled ‘Cross It’, Zero T also joins fellow Dubliner Beta 2, with two industrial workouts, including harsh stomper, yet groove driven ‘Cairo’.

Utilizing the technical apparatus to investigate a long adopted term, Zero T carefully maps out the indices to deliver a classic, all-encompassing long player that evokes the senses in numerous ways.

Hugh Hardie’s smooth moving, funk and soul-spirited drum & bass has been making waves since he signed exclusively to leading D+B imprint Hospital Records in 2014. The Cambridge-born turned Bristol-living producer has been a busy man since his popular ‘City Soul’ EP. Now his growing repertoire is only getting bigger with his highly anticipated debut long player ‘ColourSpace’ that’s filled with liquid rollers, jazzy riffs, and feel-good flavours.

Staying true to that funk and soul delivery are tracks ‘Love Troubles’ and ‘She Moves’ – featuring up and comers GLXY – with rising drums and full-bodied basslines. Another collaborative effort comes from Shogun Audio signees Pola & Bryson in ‘Emerald City’ with sweetening doubled-up melodies and lush liquid roll-outs.

Diving into deeper D+B spaces, ‘Talk The Talk’ and ‘Closeness’ bring a cosmic energy to the mix. ‘Camera Obscura’ ft Maverick Soul highlights Hugh’s passion for percussions in parallel with ‘Shades Of Blue’ that touches on micro funk movements with clicky drums bringing a more minimalistic nature than Hugh’s regular rhythms.

For several years, Hugh has been making regular appearances across Europe and the UK for the world-renowned events brand Hospitality and is no stranger to lighting up packed dance-floors no matter the venue size. This summer you can catch him drawing from his collection at Glastonbury festival, Secret Garden Party and Sun & Bass, to name a few.
