On the 11th of November PERLON & LOFAR present 'GET PERLONIZED':

 

Lofar continues to celebrate its Deutschland connection with the first 'Get Perlonized' event on Dutch soil.

The Berlin-based label Perlon's unique approach to promoting and producing music has has taken

their catalogue beyond the 50th release mark; sampling, dissecting sounds, never losing focus on that

perfect dance floor 'hook',  and featuring the following rather infamous and talented artists:

Ricardo Villalobos, Mathew Jonson, Luciano, Baby Ford & Benjamin Wild [amongst others].

 

On the 11th of November at club NL, legendary Perlon label founder/producer Zip [aka Dimbiman] will most 

certainly rock & entertain, followed up by a slice of live stripped-down-ultra-deep-house by Melchior Production Ltd;

expect sounds and purification towards the essence of soul!

We get close to the end of another weird year, a period made of uncertainties and difficulties, in which, however, we always find a point of reference: the music. Christmas is here and Santa has decided that the time has come to throw one more mix, and this one is a very special one. After 7 years from his first appearance on the channel, we welcome back MEOKO’s favourite Sepp.

The Bucharest-based groover has been on a roll since then, revealing himself to be one of the most prolific producers and DJs out there, pouring all his infectious full-bodied grooves on countless vinyl and digital releases. His sound, broad, hypnotic, rolling, and always with a pinch of local folklore, has resonated throughout the world between big festival stage and cosy kitchen intimate parties throughout, becoming a staple of every dance enthusiast.

Today, we share 70+ minutes of nothing but Sepp vibes, wishing you groovy holidays and a happy new year.

Arno & Cap deliver the first edition of our new B2B series, culminating in more than two hours of rousing sound.

The two are familiar faces in the minimal clubbing scene and have both DJed in many well-known clubs over the past decade. It was an obvious choice to bring the two together for a night of clubbing, as their effortless chemistry and easy-going attitude propagated in the entire room. They get music, and they get digging even more.

The mix was recorded in early September '21 at our new venue and captures the energy and excitement of the dance floor, the experience, and the dancers of that night. It pumps from the get-go and is sure to thaw you out throughout the chilly month of February. 

Roaming the genres with a light-hearted attitude and a clear vision of fun, the set is full of unexpected twists to throttling bass, spiraling synths, cheeky drums and break corners that are bursting with passion, vibrancy, and magic. 

No less can be said about their podcast, which drifts unconventionally through styles, eras, tempos, and moods. Sehr lustig!

Zip is co-founder of the label Perlon, is familiar with the dancefloors around the world and famous for his tremendous minimal shifts within the 4/4 scheme. He has an illustrious musical history which began in 1986 as singer in the band Second Voice. In 1992 he moved to Frankfurt and joined the EBM band Bigod 20. After several releases the band split. In 1996 he got together with Markus Nikolai and Chris Rehberger to form the audio-visual project Pile. In 1997 he and Nikolai founded the Perlon label, on which he has released under the pseudonyms Dimbiman, Pantytec (with Sammy Dee) and Narcotic Syntax (with James Dean Brown). In 1999 the SuPERLONgevity compilation was released, featuring 'Bushes', a track that has since garnered chart-topping remixes from the likes of Derrick Carter and Fatboy Slim.

Zip also recorded with Peter "Baby" Ford and has appeared on Ford's label PAL SL. He is a regular guest DJ in clubs around the world and holds residencies at Robert Johnson (Offenbach) and the Panorama Bar (Berlin). He participates in the Narod Niki project, occasional collective laptop live jams initiated by Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin. He has released tracks and remixes on Perlon, Playhouse, Force Inc, Novamute and others.
