Very little can be written about our Astra Club Sunrise Set at Robot Heart during the Link with The Mayan Warrior.

Very little can be written… because of how much of it needed to be felt and lived.

After an almost 3 years of waiting to to return home; 3 years full of rollercoasters of emotions and challenges; we knew this moment captured on our set, would mark us for the years to come and we hope for those who were there and those at home now, are able to be taken by the music, the lights, the energy of the Desert and to once again be reassured that a Sunrise can never defeat the Night…. and that just like that “the dust of the stars” shaken by the Astra Club music dropped some magic on you.

Thank you @robotheartfoundation @burningmanproject for letting @carlita_music and I speak our language in the desert while the sun rose… And thank you to everybody who shared this moment with us. Otherworldly can’t even begin to describe this moment.

On May 10th, we had arranged something truly special: a rare reunion from Art Department, Jonny and Kenny back under the original banner. The day before the show, though, we got word that Jonny tested positive for COVID and would not be able to make it. To make matters worse, Kenny showed up feeling off himself—stomach problems, not doing great. For a moment, we were not sure whether the set would happen at all.

Then, after a quick pep talk (and maybe a little Johnnie Walker), Kenny decided to push through. He played the entire set from just one side of the DJ setup, leaving the other deck silent, like he was holding space for Jonny. Mid-set he passed us his phone to grab some content; somewhere between shots we pulled a South Park moment and killed Kenny’s phone, leaving him to play on, clock-free and carried by the night’s energy.

With no idea what time it was, Kenny kept the dance floor alive well past closing. It was one of the most memorable sets of the season—raw, alive, and full of heart. Kenny played for both of them, and everyone there felt it. Nights like that are why we do this. For the music, the people, and the magic you could never script.

Nandu is a Copenhagen-based DJ and producer known for his emotionally rich, genre-blending sound that spans melodic techno, house, and downtempo. He often performs with Bedouin at their Saga events, especially at Pacha Ibiza, and has also appeared on Saga Radio. His music appears on top labels like Innervisions, Afterlife, and Watergate, and he runs his own imprint, Out of Options.

Originally from Denmark, he's a family man and a former resident DJ at Culture Box. Nandu is celebrated for his fast, intuitive production process and energetic live sets, where he plays instruments on stage. His 2025 release “Sunrise” with Tripolism showcases his melodic, atmospheric style and received international support.
