One foot in front of the other, sometimes side by side, always moving to the beat, stomping in the desert, watching the dust rise and we stomp some more!

What an incredible weekend spinning in the Karoo Desert at the Place of Dreams! We played the 1pm slot on the Friday at POD1 with this set, starting at a lekke slow 105BPM to ease us into the musical journey of Friday at POD! 

A massive shout out to everyone that enjoyed this set with us, it was an absolute jol to lay this set down and get that dance floor moving and grooving. We added one or two vocal remixes that will tickle your memories in the best ways.

A very Merry Christmas Eve set at Deus Homestead in Hout Bay for the last set of the Twins Spinning in South Africa, filled with some gifts in all sounds and forms of tracks that don't usually make it to our mainroom sets, slow start as we gradually built up to a dance floor that had us moving tables out of the way for more space. 
The beautiful guitar overlay was a live performance by the incredibly talented Matthew Samson! Thanks for the finesse ekse maybru!

End Summer 2022 in Cape Town, Darling - Playground Twins rec

Story Telling around the campfire is a tradition that has survived the test of time in South Africa, starting when the Koi San would share tales and legends to the clack of a fire. 

At Afrikaburn 2022, we had the honour to do our story telling in a kraal built buy Bridges for Music called Ubuhlanti (meaning Kraal) from 11:30-00:30 on Friday Night. The vision and mission of Bridges for Music is one that is very close to our heart and where blessed to be able to share our music contributions on this stage!

Playground Twins - Ubuhlanti (Bridges for Music) Stage at Afrikaburn 2022

With Summer fast approaching and our booking schedule starting to fill out, we thought we would share this set we recorded live at Zsa Zsa on the 29th of July 2022 in order to give the music scene a taste of what they can expect when booking us for events :)

We are stoked with how this set came out, the song selection includes some old and new favourites, unreleased weapons from some heavy weight producers and all round a fun time had on the decks with family on the dancefloor!

This set was prepared for and played in the iconic Engine Room of Origin Nightclub in Durban on the 13th August 2022 where the Playground Twins headlined the evening, spinning more of their techno selection. 

Onwards and Upwards as this set marks the first set of the Spring Tour which takes the Twins to Durban, JHB, Istanbul, MarMaris and TLV. Also the first set with entirely wav/aiff files to make sure the FunktionOne rig gets all the info it deserves.

As night turned into day we went on a 128BPM techno and melodic techno journey playing from 4am until 6am just as the warmth of the sun was filling the dance floor complimenting the beautiful music moments we shared. 

We played a bit harder than our normal sound, pulling up some golden favourites of ours that we've had in the record box since inception, taking over after Berlin DJ Mal.Da dropping some 135 techno, so we had to keep up!

We ended emotionally with more euphoric heavenly sounding tunes from Lane 8 that left a strong feeling of love and affection for our Why Not family.

A vocal daytime funtime as the Nonsensical Collective featuring DJO, Atarax and PGTwins, with this PGTwins B2B DJO set for Saturday 3-5pm. Apparently this was the last time LPP will be at burn, hopefully we convinced them to come back after a short break🥂 🍾

A unique take on blending some of our all time favourites, some new spice, and crowd pleasers, even ending off with a psy trance track that Nate picked up in India to prepare the dancefloor for the 135BPM pace of Mal.Da (Berlin) playing some fast doef doef after us.
