Garnier, the Grand Seigneur of Techno, surprises with his first EP for 50WEAPONS.

Known as pioneer and influencer of the global electronic music scene, internationally respected DJ and the undisputed godfather of the French techno scene, Garnier is always in touch with the emergence of new artists and genres. His music career has always been about integrity. Worth mentioning is the re-edition of Laurent Garnier’s book “Electrochoc”, which was released in 2003. The book is a journey through electronic music history via Laurent Garnier's career, starting in 1987 until the present day.

Nonetheless his release for 50WEAPONS doesn't at all sound like the “the French touch” one would expect, but pairs the dark sound of 90ies techno icons Underground Resistance with bleepy acid lines.

Here Garnier reiterates his close working relationship with the underground and shows once again his skill and rigour as a producer.

Typical Garnier basslines flirt with the Retro Charme of Chicago and the roots of house music as well as his own. There's a reminiscence of ”The sound of the big Babou” one of his great hits, but it seams like a version stripped down to the streamlines of an underground club between 4 and 6 a.m.

And quite the star, Monsieur Garnier garnishes his EP with a B side full of conoisseur hit potential. With its shouted vocals and driving bassline H.E. Is a killer of a swinger.

The EP, entitled AF 4302, is distinguished by an organic, raw, acid-flavoured techno sound. Three tracks and three different moods in which Garnier reinvents himself and takes his music to new, unchartered territories.

These tracks are razor sharp and should be handled with care!

CSK:Beat is an Italian label set up by Francisco Mantovani which sets out to buck the trend of average sounding tech house and prog which plagues the beatport charts.  For their latest release CSK: Beat have pulled in the big guns of Luca Venezia AKA Curses!
This is a track which dances between wave, Old Skool and in all honesty a little bit Kraftwerk. 
CSK: Beat has been carving out a niche for slo mo techno and has recently remixed for Ombra International so it is only fair that Curses returns the favour and he does with vigor and a broken beat which is destined to destroy a dancefloor.  Whatever Mexican Vodka decides to be it is likely to be an unstoppable force.

When Pope Innocent II issued a Papal Edict stating that the reformist Cathar movement had to be eliminated from France, It's most likely that he did so off the back of an ancient prophesy found in the darkest depths of the Vatican stating that one day Andrew Weatherall will host a festival in their stronghold of Carcassonne and that off the back of it, Höga Nord Rekords would be releasing a wonderful pieces of vinyls to celebrate it every year, this time full of the music of that gorgeous hoodlum Luca Venezia AKA Curses.
Insomnia is a dirty sounding gothy dark dance record with a heady chorusladen bass guitar sound. Wavey synths, and a sophisticated suave and sassy melody which manages to tow the line between being uncompromising and keeping the dancefloor swelling. 
In September, Insomnia will no doubt form a staple of Curses set and will keep the dancefloor burning in the same way that heretics once burned on the forecourt of Carсassonne Castle. The history of the DJ & producer duo and couple Local Suicide stretches back over a decade to the year 2009. Since meeting, Munich-born Brax Moody and Thessaloniki native Vamparela, they've collaborated together on various projects, all culminating in the conception of Local Suicide in Berlin. 

They are the faces behind some of the most prolific parties in Berlin, like the infamous T.O.F.U (Too Old For Understatement) nights, which are one of the many marks they've left on Berlin's underground scene.

With solo & collaborative releases with Curses, Theus Mago, Rodion, Mijo or Thomass Jackson to name a few, on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Multi Culti, My Favorite Robot, Ombra INTL, Tusk Wax or Eskimo, they've had numerous releases reaching the top 10 on iTunes, Beatport & Juno charts.
