When you live in an urban society, some natural sounds can remind you industrial artificial noises, which are distinguished by the fact, that they are done intentionally. When birds sing — they communicate, when wind is blowing or flow of the river beats the stones — all these sounds have their own meanings and *message*. As it happens in a completely natural way, we come to the conclusion, that something intentionally made by a *creator* and inherently made by nature, seems to merge into one musical philosophy.

St.Petersburg-born artist Monokle developed his own, distinctive style across a range of releases on Ki Records, Constellation Tatsu, Error Broadcast, and other labels that might align him with any particular flavor of bass, ambient, electronic, or dance music.

A welcome return to his home label Fuselab, showcases Monokle’s expert mastery of deep cinematic joyride through shimmering bass lines and ambient pads to euphoric and evocative elegies.

Each track on ‘Tricks’ does sound like a world unto itself, shaping the linear narrative from a myriad of living organisms, with complex patterns forming at every scale. ‘Tricks’ is undoubtedly Monokles’s most balanced work to date, bringing together intimate sound environments that carry an uneasy tension between unstoppable grooves and melancholic positivity with perfectly equalise light and dark.

Перший трек 'Who Cares?' я написав, надихнувшись вайбом техно-тусовок 90-х, 00-х років. Я дуже хотів надати йому атмосферу безтурботних вечірок, де всім навколо було плювати на те, як ти виглядаєш та у що ти вдягнений - люди збиралися купками та танцювали, не думаючи ні про що.

Друга робота - Dissolving in Mirage - моя ода трансовій музиці. Я знаходжу транс дуже цікавим, глибоким жанром, який можна досліджувати нескінченно. Dissolving In Mirage є плодом моїх власних досліджень трансу - він дає відчуття надії, сподівань, яким ніколи не суджено справдитися.

Третій, заключний трек - No Agenda Present - є квінтесенцією моїх емоцій та відчуттів в процесі життя під час великої війни. Я пережив досвід херсонської окупації, на власній шкурі відчувши жахи "руського міра", тому мені було про що розповісти в ньому.

Я ненавиджу росіян за все горе, яке вони принесли Україні та українцям. Вважаю, що хардове техно - ідеальний інструмент для того, аби вкотре наголосити через музику: russia is a terrorist state.
