Description: We present to you along side our new EP "Angie's Gone" a special recording of our debut live set. On the 25/03/23 we unleashed the mothership onto The Yard Hackney.

Introducing midlands based selector Goomba, we have a fresh mix incorporating minimal high ends and hypnotic dubby low ends - reaL soupy stuff. 

With a mix as clean as he keeps his studio, Goomba has been selecting digital and vinyl records for a number of years, often with a sound system infused mindset. For many, this would mean they’ve been to a big fat rave with a large rig, but for Goomba and his associates, it meant building one.

Goomba is also one of the head honchos of Bassfreight sound system, a rig that has personally blown the ears off LT HQ, capitulating the deep feel in the low end but with extremely well balanced mids and highs. The Bassfreight crew have started running their own events in Sheffield, and after successfully supplying Level Up Festival and Side Eye Sounds with VOLume, it certainly is a journey to follow.

Once upon a time, there was a whelk who was offered a simple mayo. His name was Killog, king of the seas, storm and abyss. He loved the parterre, the trumpet and the slide. Every morning, he and the local chavoux met in front of the Calicoco terrace for a day of gastropot style. To accompany this session full of tricks, Kill always brought along his good compil' full of tracks. A chunky mix of sounds described by the village old whelk as "A variation of hits packed with sprawling hats contrasted with the sound of heat-textured bass. An assemblage of glitch noise by savvy mollusks, unstructured breaks for neighbors in need of fuel, tempo-doped party club." He also added that "This music samples the fight against the devious cyclopterans above and their crustacean militias. You can hear sonic and electric experimentation, heterogeneous phases for dj's in panic." And with these words, he watched the shells leave, singing "No time to swallow water".

Mexican artist Rodman dives deep on his Falcata EP for Ineffable Records, containing five club-ready tracks, with sound textures being the focus, and a remix from WVWV head honcho Octoptic. Following on from the success of his debut La Fragua which featured fellow Mexican, Nico (Timedance/Grid).

The record's title comes from the name of an ancient sword, which is quite apt as the sharp sound-design & impressive perc work slices through the EP from start to finish. It fluctuates between moods, touching on the deeper, dubbed out & echoed sounds of Rodman's palette, and moving swiftly into complex rhythmic patterns that were definitely built with the club in mind. Thus providing the perfect blend between enjoyable listening and being weapons for the dance floor. Shunt is no exception.

Pleasure Corp is a strictly live project from Electro scene duo Shawn Cartier & Dufraine. Taking ode from a wide set of inspirations such as Juan Atkins, Daft Punk and Kraftwerk - the pair unite under a mantra of putting futuristic expression at the forefront of their art, represented both in their music and their visual identity.

In 2023 they made a clear impact in the underground having garnered passionate support from Ben UFO, Two Shell, and Emerald to name a few.

The Pleasure Corp universe is an endearing and quirky atmosphere that always keeps you guessing. One that is littered with classic 90s percussion shots sown together with emotionally charged vocal narratives, acid infused basslines, and colorful, eerie arpeggiations.
