"Mayan Warrior once again blew minds at Burning Man. Big sound, big lasers. I got to plug in my USB’s on Monday night and had a great time. Set link in bio.

People take it almost for granted but it’s such a technical and logistical challenge to run an artcar in the desert.

Festival grade tech - generators, PA, lighting etc - has to fit inside a tiny bus and kept running for a week. Overheating is the main danger, mechanical wear and tear due to dust and vibration is substantial. Generators need constant refueling. Easier said than done when the fuel truck does not show up due to sandstorms.

Then you need a bunch of security to keep people from being run over or falling off the artcar. The chaos these crews have to manage is substantial.

It takes a village. 🙏🏽❤️"

The past decade has seen Öona Dahl solidify her status as one of underground dance music's most refreshing artists. As a producer, she has steadily built her repertoire, with a penchant for experimentation that's guided by an innate understanding of what makes a great song.  Punctuating those musical attributes, her debut album “Holograma" on the Hallucienda label, further revealed the emergence of a songwriter hinting at influences ranging from the ambient vocal stylings of This Mortal Coil, to the electronica offerings of Bjork, without ever sounding like anything other than herself.  

Öona Dahl continues to develop her versatility as both producer, and DJ by effortlessly weaving through electronica, ambience, and cosmic warehouse grooves.
