Monotype stands for the diversity of his own creative work. There isn't much to say about to describe him. DJ and producer, live-act, label founder and an incredibly creative mind. Musically, the journey usually goes from Indie-Dance to Electronica and Italo-Disco.

The likeable from a small town doesn't need to hide at all and has not been completely unknown in the scene for many years, so that his references also cover well-known clubs such as the Distillery or Ritter Butzke. His productions have already reached the greats across the pond so he ended up on Gui Boratto's label D.O.C. records with artists like Monolink or L_Cio.

He feels like at home with the Räucherkammer crew from Leipzig. Anyone who has ever read or seen something from We Art Together cannot miss Tim. With this project he tries to bring together emerging artists of different genres such as painting, photography, graphic art and of course music.

Now it's your turn to make yourself an impression of what to expect as much as we're curious to find out and thankful for Monotype taking his time to gift us with a new Vacanza radio!

1. We saw that you love playing records, and by extension, collecting them. Could you guide us through your preferred way of finding some little gems to share with your audience?

A lot of my records I bought at flea markets or small shops, find them on the street or get them for my birthday :)


2. You are playing a lot in festival and bigger clubs of Berlin and around - how do you manage to connect with the big crowds during your sets?

Good question I never thought about how to do it, I think it just happens through the music, I love my music and I get happy listening to my records and if I am happy the people get happier too, I guess.


3. The tunes that you gracefully played in your set for Paradisco are mostly things from quite a few decades ago; is there any particular time-era that you like the most in the music history of the world?

I love music from the eighties, for me this was just the best time, where a lot of really great music comes from.

In 2014 Stefan M. and Felix H. have brought the artist agency „plemomusic“ into being. It is our aim to share the already long existing love of the electronic music with others like-minded and to make alasting musical contribution. Our Plemomission is to find and create qualitatively high-quality however also experimental music as well as to expel. Besides we do not search the musical norm but artists they are not afraid to rebel.

This goes to the lunatics, non-conformist, rebels, troublemakers, musicians who believe in their talent more than ever. You admit that you would rather die than stop making music. We are just interested in those who see things different which cling to no musical norms or petty bourgeois rules.

Also we swim regularly against the stream instead of going the easier way and following the mass! You can listen to them and cite them, have an another opinion than they, they glorify or condemn. But the only thing which you cannot do is to be ignored. Since they change your sphere of influence by theirs openly, almost quite brilliant life setting, while they make what they think, they influence the world decisively. Above all these are just those who also do it and create something.
