Andreas, who ventured into DJing back in 1995, started his musical journey crafting mix tapes and spinning drum and bass in Philadelphia's underground rave scene. Currently based in San Francisco, Andreas combines his love for music with his studies in computer science. Operating under the alias Tygre (@djtygre), he immersed himself in the darker realms of electro, techno and drum and bass from 1997 to 2000. After a prolonged hiatus, Tygre, inspired by the hypnotic sounds of these three musical genres, is back to spread his passion for music, the art of mixing and the creation of mesmerizing sonic journeys. Kalson // Stellar Mode | Dominance ELectricity

Behind this alias stands Vladan Cvetković a Serbian ambasador of Electro music. For two decades he is focused on production and promotion of Electro in the region and internationally. So far his discography counts dozen 12" records, singles and digital releases published by labels like Dominance Electricity, Street Sounds, Electro Avenue, Das Drehmoment. 
Through Electro Vladan also reaches the sounds of Ambient, Berlin School, Disco and Acid.
He is a co-founder of Stellar Mode, a project and a record label with a focus on Electro, Ambient and Sci-Fi music.
Vladan is one of the responsible people who enriched the club and festival scene in Serbia and his city (Niš) and region. He was involved in organization, management and as a DJ in numerous festivals in Serbia like Bekstvo u Prirodu, EXIT, Nisomnia etc. 
He shared his music selection on the decks with some of most important names in Electro scene like Anthony Rother, Egyptian Lover, UMEK, Sneak Thief, Dagobert, Dj Overdose, Bass Junkie, Diplomat, Luke Eargoggle.
Vladan also contributed to the Electro scene as a mixing and mastering engineer.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?
-As you know, together with Dagobert I'm managing label Stellar Mode and next several releases are in the works. We'll also have a spin off from Electro and release some of our authentic crossovers with other electronix. 

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?
-I think that artists of all decades are relevant, and there are so many great labels and artists to mention and it would be a long list. I mostly appreciate originality and innovation in music, from idea, composition, production to sonic values.  There is so much repetative music in every genre, sculptured through a reference rather than inspiration, and the fast pace of music publishing is forcing artists to spend less time working on their music which results in pattern based production and overloaded market, however I think that we live in times with the greatest possibilities to discover good/new music. When it comes to Electro, this mix is made of music which I really appreciate. I mostly enjoy Electro like this however it doesn't find the spot in the club and doing a podcast with title "Strange But Dance Music" was a perfect fit for these timeless tracks.

What inspires you now to create music?
-Life, science and drive to sonically express my self through sound synthesis, tones, noises and music.

With a persistent lean towards the darker and the grittier, Mowgli’s known for his leftfield selections that are stripped right back to the bare necessities. Heavy duty drum machine workouts and raw analogue synths are always on the menu, and this head chef is cooking up a storm whenever he steps behind the deck.

Hey this is Skwirl here to gab at you briefly about the records we have coming for this year’s thematic cluster! The theme is Nostalgic Wavs and each record has been linked to a concept under the rather large umbrella of nostalgia as a function of emotional attachment to memory. 


The fourth record for Nostalgic Wavs is Spoke’s endlessly colourful and spirited LP ‘You Make Me Feel Dramatic’ and it’s our Déjà Vu selection.

Déjà Vu is a concept that needs no introduction as an estimated 97 percent of people have experienced it at least once. It is categorised as a strong familiarity with a present situation or experience - to the extent of believing it has been perceived or experienced before - despite it being new. We’ve mapped it as restorative, present, unknowing on our Nostalgic Wavs map.

Spoke is a queer, non binary German producer based in Berlin known most prominently for their blistering hip hop productions that have become a fixture in the international, experimental, and non-traditional fringes of the Berlin Deutschrap scene. Spoke started their musical career as a DJ in Berlin in the late 2000s, amidst a cascade of grime and garage migrating from the UK en route to the thumps and stomps of the techno capital -  that fertile ground of cross pollination and the exciting rise of the German beat scene can still be found reverberating through their work now.


Indeed, when arriving upon what the LP for Woodland Creatures would sound like we found mutual excitement in exploring their roots in club music both classic and contemporary, pop and underground. A stint living in the UK some years back had solidified their love for garage, drum and bass and the wider UK funky continuum; and, this merged with a keen infatuation with stateside movements like jersey house, juke and footwork in the years since moving back to Berlin - all culminating in a collision of style, sounds and ethos that had been percolating in them for quite some time. 

The result is ‘You Make Me Feel Dramatic’, a punchy, short and sweetly diaphanous transatlantic club scene love letter born of Spoke’s personal journey and subterranean explorations which is brimming with immediacy, life, colour and aimed squarely at breathless sweaty dancefloor workouts. Spoke’s authentic filtering of inspirations and synthesised style mashups yields a record that feels impossibly familiar - like club joints you could swear you know but are of course brand new - and speaks of a producer poised to take the audience on a personal journey they might not expect but one that is kaleidoscopic, spritely, infectious, and just flat out fun.

FRANCOIS DILLINGER (Ben Worden) glides between the two worlds of electro and techno. His journey through the genres is dark while retaining a cerebral, dancefloor-oriented quality.
This stems from influences of Industrial, Detroit electro, and even Ghettotech that were a part of his first explorations as a DJ in Detroit. In the studio, Francois uses primarily all external hardware and modular gear, utilizing Ableton for final arrangements and editing. 
His Live & DJ sets lean heavily into the generation of hypnotic loops, creating long protracted mixes between elements to form unshakeable tension. 

While he grew up an hour east of the Motor City, his musical roots were firmly planted there – taking hold for decades worth of defining moments in sound. As a fan, promoter, and DJ he’s been a part of the Detroit scene for over 20 years. 

He has released on labels such as Diffuse Reality, Blind Allies, Natural Sciences, Dionysian Mysteries, Ukonx Recordings, Fanzine Records, Specimen Records, ZwaarteKracht as well as a debut album on Narrow Gauge. Two new albums, multiple VA releases and a handful of solo EPs are on the horizon for Dillinger in 2021.
