The concept for this song was created by Anon The Griot, he introduced me to the realization that he reached about love and relationships... If you are going to have a great loving relationship, your partner MUST be spoiled by you, but they can't be selfish.  Reciprocity in key.

In March 2015, this song was written and recorded in response to the "SAE-OU Racist Incident", when White members of the University of Oklahoma (OU) chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) were filmed performing a racist song that used the "N-word" and referenced Jim Crow. Fox News blamed Black Rappers for influencing the White SAE kids to use the "N-Word" by using it in their lyrics. Back then we felt that everyone just needed to "RELAX", so that's how this song was born. Billy Northam on the track. Verses by Plex Long, The HunchPunch Champ and ANON The Griot. This song was originally intended to go on Plex's "Billy Black Experience II" project, but that album was never completed or released. 9 years later, not much has changed in America, everyone still needs to RELAX, so we decided to drop this today. Enjoy!

This song was featured on Seven Spherez "BOOMBAP x BLUNT RAPS" album, originally released in March of 2020. I always loved this song and recently realized it's not online anymore, so I decided to post it here. Good music should never disappear. I have collaborated with Dr. G, ANON The Griot and Kenny Brazil on many occasions and plan to do more work with each of them in the future.

Globeats messaged me on Soundcloud to show love to my music and invite me to check out some tracks. After scanning their catalog of available tracks,  "SLEEPLESS" spoke to me and my current situation immediately. The hook came to me instantly! I wrote and recorded the whole song in less than 2 hours. This one just felt right off top and came out naturally. This is one of the most personal songs I’ve written over the last few years. If you're up late at night scrolling social media or scanning SoundCloud for new tunes, put this joint on and zone out into a deep trance with me.
