NOUS, a hard industrial techno DJ and producer from Amsterdam (NL), draws
inspiration from industrial sounds and is gradually gaining a global following in the
industrial techno scene. His high-octane performances consistently provide the

dancefloor with unrelenting energy, while his productions boast an industrial yet no-
nonsense sound, always striving for perfection.

You may recognize NOUS from his releases on renowned labels such as Rave
Session, Voxnox, HATE, Chained Vision, and many others. He has received extensive
support from prominent artists like Rebekah, Paula Temple, Cassie Raptor, BRECC,
KØZLØV, Callush, SNTS, among others.
His label, Sub-Terra Trax, is also a testament to his musical progress, being a hard
industrial techno label based in Utrecht (NL).

CSQ: Tell us a bit about your local techno scene. How has it shaped you as an artist?

LÄRM: Due to limitations, Raving in Tehran’s techno scene is the most thrilling & underground experience you’ll ever have. There are lots of Persian qualified artists & DJs in every subgenre & they sacrifice their everything to keep the scene & the music alive. Also production-wise, there are lots of Persian techno producers that their craft is international & their art is being played overseas. Mainly, I am a Metalhead & Extreme Metal Artist but I got into Techno music when I was staying in Germany for studying Music academically. My main interest was Berlin’s HardTechno & Clubbing culture. I started exploring there & came back to Tehran looking for parties to attend. I made great friendships & connections in the scene & decided to be a part of it. Everybody’s afraid of their dark thoughts & my mission is to connect the people to their own darkside & place them in middle of it. It helps them to enlighten their mind and body while purging old negative thoughts by raving.

CSQ: Would you like to share anything with the listeners about the set?

LÄRM: This set includes 1 hour of quality Industrial/Bochka from my favorite artists. It is full of noises,brutal kicks and it ends with a Metal track by Deathcore band “Fit For An Autopsy”.

CSQ: How does the set reflect the development of your style and your DJing since you started?

LÄRM: Industrial/Bochka is my favorite but I always wanted to be capable of playing in any tempo and any genre so I’m not forcing myself into any specific group. But my style and music taste usually is the same. Dark,Cold & Noisy stuff including progressive grooves are my way to go.
