We have an additional mix to add to our " Warehouse Collection" and this time it is from out one and only DJ GON - he presents us with "That 1 Mix". When asked mr GON explained that this is his 1 mix release for 2021 and was made intentionally for the November First Friday Warehouse mix as it was his partners birthday and he wanted to include tunes that she loved- Dj GON has also been producing under the alias " BOHMAN " and gave us a taste of some un-released originals!

Brooklyn-based DJ/producer ILLEXXANDRA (https://illexxandra.com) brings a consistently fun party vibe, drawing from the worlds of global bass, soundsystem culture, future sounds, funk, and classic club styles. Her sets draw you in with innocent joy, hype you up with raw ferocity, and then set you down gently with deep musical knowledge. She’ll kill it with an hour of bangers, or take you on a five-hour journey into sound.

ILLEXXANDRA co-founded the global bass crew Tropic of Bass in Washington, DC. She was resident DJ at Vitamin B, New York long-running breakbeat party, and at the McKittrick Hotel with Inyang Bassey and the all-star Heathens band. Illexxandra is one half of the production duo Empire Breaks with DJ Shakey, and one half of Ajazent with TGRbass. She is a resident of the infamous and infamous Rubulad party, an enthusiastic co-conspirator with the Party Liberation Front (PLF) in Richmond, VA, and a long-time DJ and production staff at Burning Man Information Radio. Illexxandra also throws dance events in VR on various social platforms, and builds custom worlds in Unity for a wide variety of VR experiences. She’s a resident DJ for Vadvim’s DJVDP (DJ Virtual Dance Party). 2020 streaming events included the Breaks.fm relaunch, Fraktured 4-Year Anniversary, Currents.fm Isolation Tape party, Wormhole Wednesdays, CouchFest, Midnight Ritual, and L3ftfield.

ILLEXXANDRA plays for LGBTQ advocacy events, most recently at the Aqua Girl Festival in Miami Beach, the Southern Comfort Conference in South Florida, the Brooklyn Museum’s LGBTQ Teen Night, Heritage of Pride/NYC Pride March awards ceremony, Honest Accomplice Theatre’s fundraiser for their Trans Literacy Project, the IHI Therapy Center Masquerade Ball Fundraiser, a mixer for SAGE which provides services for LGBTQ elders, and the Stonewall Community Development Corporation which facilitates housing for LGBTQ seniors. She plays for women-focused and queer-focused events, including the Brooklyn Museum’s First Saturdays Pride event, Everybooty, Bad Habit, and BAE in Brooklyn, Hot Rabbit in Manhattan, the Embassy Row Hotel during the DC Pride March, the Sister Collective, and the Athena Collective. She plays for sex-positive events such as Wonderland NYC, Pleasure Garden Club in Philly, the Museum of Sex as a resident disco DJ for their 2016-2017 disco exhibit, and as an ongoing resident DJ for Chemistry NYC. She has taught music production at the Lower Eastside Girls Club, and coached bands at the Willie Mae Rock Camp For Girls.

Illexxandra features on Hospital Records’ 2020 compilation Med School Graduation. Other recent releases include her Out The Shadows EP via Producer Dojo, The Ceremony and The Lexicon EP with Mr Jennings, two tracks each on Black Marble Collective’s RAVETOOLS and District 160’s Breathe compilations, remixes for Chomba Boom and Moldover, and a beat for queer UK hip-hop duo Graver Ekow. She has also released tracks and remixes with Stay Tropical, Party Time Society, Sony Red, Rot10 Muzik, Club Popozuda, Peligrosa, Boogie Boutique, Cast-A-Blast Records/Mishkin, Aceyalone, MC Zulu, Little Giants (EVeryman + Pumpkin), Feral aka MC Kinky, Jon Kwest, Kuenta i Tambu, Gato Preto, DJ Tack & DJ Tamalero, and Jaymay, and numerous cult-classic bootlegs. Her tracks were named best track of 2011 by TropicalBass.com, one of 2011’s Most Underrated Music by Marcus Dowling, and featured on BBC Radio 1. She has released mixtapes with Footwork Jungle, MalLabel, Musica Nomada, CouchFest, Afropop Worldwide, Brooklyn Radio, Space Cowboys RIPEcast, the Armory Podcast, Brousse FM, Homoground, RVA Magazine, and Zappos’ The Ones sneaker lifestyle site.

Live NYE Set from 11-12am indoors Dem Cowbois played a mixture of Breaks, Hardcore & Gabber, Drum & Bass, and ended with some Dubstep.  
Dem Cowbois wanted to play something different and try some new sounds out. This set marked the first time Dem Bois went as Dem Cowboys and Brought the heavy 4x4 rager sounds to PLF Indoors Stage!

For those who don’t know, my dear friend Reinhold records a beautiful, deep, lush Wintry Mix each year.  In this 7th year, he expanded the series to include a set from me and from Michael Nighttime.  Reinhold’s wintry mixes are my absolute favorite sets, hands down.  I’ve listened all of these so many times I’ve lost count, so it’s an honor and a privilege to be able to share this with you.

Wintry 7.2: The Way Back Home is one of my favorite sets I’ve ever recorded.  I put in hours and hours digging for music and practicing this set.  It’s fun and especially powerful for me as I get to showcase a side of music that I don’t often get to play out at parties.  Please listen; I hope you enjoy!
