I saw @gazzi69 play Boiler Room's stage at last year's Primavera Sound and been in love with his sound ever since - I think I've played (or very nearly played) one of his tracks in nearly every edition of my Voices Radio residency so far, sooooooo pretty surreal to be able to welcome him to the show this month.

It's me for the first hour, starting things off a little bit dark and murky with sounds of UK techno, electro, drum and bass, dembow and more. Aaand then for the second hour, GAZZI jumps in on the guest mix with something a bit brighter; intricately weaving his signature ethereal sound across a wide spectrum of genres.

Leaping without prejudice between styles, tempos and influences, UK-born and Barcelona based DJ Plot 45 uses the first hour of his show to showcase the very best in electronic music, newly discovered by him each month. Expect futuristic UK and leftfield techno, as well as the crushing frequencies of bass, breaks, electro and everything in between.

Rounding things off each month, a special guest DJ will take the reins for the second hour to deliver a mix that encapsulates their unique sound and style. For the first show of Plot 45's residency, he's joined by All Centre and Woozy alum Mossambi – an up and coming producer and DJ in the UK bass and experimental techno space whose debut EP "Resurf", on London-based label All Centre, released to huge acclaim. An incredibly diverse and innovative selector, Mossambi's mix traverses a wide spectrum of genres; expect twists and turn across his selections as he explores the more unexpected side of UK bass.

Plot 45 invites Mossambi on Radio Relativa – October 2023

For epppiiisssoodeeee 2 of my residency with Radio Relativa, I was joined by Catalan-Dutch brothers Martin and Guillem aka Iets Anders. For the first hour, the usual stuff from me, cruddy UK techno/UK bass at around 125 all the way up to 180, before cutting down to around 100bpm for the closing 15/20 minutes.

On the second hour guest mix, Iets Anders: together they are a production and DJing powerhouse, regularly playing all over Barcelona alongside having releases on one of the City's best underground labels, Noise Pollution Recordings. They are Kiosk Radio Outsiders residents and, alongside their own musical exploits, run one of the most exciting boutique parties in Barcelona: Echosystem. Expect thudding bass and fast rhythms as they give you a taste of what to expect from their musical endeavours.

Plot 45 invites Iets Anders on Radio Relativa – November 2023

Back on Radio Relativa this past month for Episode 3 of my Radio Relativa residency with one of the best editions yet. For the first hour, it's me with an hour’s mix of heavy-percussive leaning sounds, all taken from compilation EPs and artists donating proceeds from the releases to help those in need in Palestine. The second hour guest slot is allllllllllllllllllllll POLYGLOT; a relatively new party in the Barcelona scene, focused on curating the best multi–genre underground nights with community at the heart. Their mix starts with dancehall before progressively flicking between dembow, techno, bass and heavy percussion – with some pretty sick twists thrown in. Headed up by MUCK and EYRA, they had this to say on their vision for POLYGLOT:

"We started POLYGLOT as a reflection of our musical tastes (seeing a gap in well curated multi–genre nights in the smaller venues in Barcelona). Our goal is to create a community that speaks to the mix of international and native people as part of the underground scene here. Episode 4 of my Oct-Feb residency on Radio Relativa! First hour with me, as usual, throwing down some bumpy weird techno and bassy stuff before we welcome New York-based producer and DJ Ovid to take the reigns for the second hour! A pulsating mix that jumps between dark and moody percussive sounds interspersed with lighter house-leaning moments.

Ovid has seen his own music productions released on Ireland's Flood – a label with a focus on heavy drums and driving percussion, alongside multiple other self-releases, as well as being a regular on New York's The Lot Radio and in the local club scene.

Plot 45 invites Ovid on Radio Relativa – January 2024

Episode fiiiiiiiiiiive of five for this season on Relativa! The final show of my first season on RR takes a hard and fast turn as I explores half time rhythms in the first hour; spinning mutant dancehall and fast percussive techno, jumping around between 80/90bpm before heading north to 170/180 and back down and up and down and up and down.

For the second hour I'm vvvv pleased to be joined by Nostro Hood System label boss, Galtier, for a mix that’s as pounding and eclectic as the releases in the NHS back catalogue. Pushing forward unique leftfield techno and bubbling UK bass dripping with twists, Nostro Hood System steadily releases some of the most forward-thinking dance music in the game right now: spearheaded by Galtier. An esteemed producer and DJ in his own right, Galtier’s own productions can be brooding and melancholic whilst simultaneously being fast and chaotic. Celebrating the forthcoming release of a new co-EP on NHS with Druid, his mix encompasses everything that’s influencing him right now. Enjoy.

This month we take a bumpy, alternative ride to the traditional structure of a DJ mix, starting off fast and gradually getting slower. Expect heavy percussion with pulsing drums, and hard cuts with long blends of UK leaning techno and fast/slow rhythms - first hour vibes with me.

On guest duties this month, v happy to invite the mysterious WORSHIP label out of Bristol. Off the back off releasing a slew of sought after, limited release dubplates on wax and championing lesser heard producers on their sublabel imprint WORSHIPLEFT. Sharp curation and a strong vision for the sound the label wants to pioneer sets WORSHIP apart from their contemporaries in the underground scene. Expect weird techno and cruddy base as label boss worship_dog takes us on an hour long thrill ride of sounds that epitomise the sonic direction WORSHIP is heading in.

Plot 45 invites WORSHIP on Radio Relativa – May 2024

Usual set up this month, me for the first hour skirting across all things bass and UK techno, little bit of ambient/atmospheric stuff too. Had a lot of fun with this one, covering quite a lot of ground in terms of what was on my USB and playing tunes at all the wrong tempos. Sorry Dual Monitor for playing Level Up about a third as fast as you're meant to.

And then taking over for the second hour, delighted to be able to share with you an hour long mix from Berlin based, 4 person collective: Poems. Formed in 2022, they’ve recently picked up a head of steam curating their first party at Berlin’s OHM night club with Phil in the maze and Cassius Select on the billing. I was first introduced to poems via Derive – an incredible DJ in her own right, someone who can (and does!) literally play anything, all with relative ease. As a collective they're really challenging the norms of Berlin, flirting with weird UK Bass, techno and breaks all on the more experimental side of the spectrum.

Made up of German quartet derive … genus Aix … pesadj ... and dypere, they’ve come together to create a beautifully intense wormhole of a mix.
