I've lowkey been wanting to cover this song ever since I started making music, but I could never think of a way to do it justice. The Chrono Trigger sample library allowed me some interesting arrangement opportunities and I'm happy that I finally got to make my own take on this classic song.

Update: Better EQ-ing and adjustments to instrument volumes. Solid composition so I won't touch it any. Added a bit of echo to some instruments and tried to balance the lows, mids and high frequencies so they aren't jarring in the mix.

Inspired by Footlight Lane. The trope is a combination galaxy and ice level. So think of Snowball Park but in space with Lumas and floating platforms.

[V2] Super Mario 3D World Original Composition - Aurora Alleyway

It's autumn (or fall) in the northern hemisphere, and though I typically don't care for the dreary cold seasons, fall is starting to grow on me as I get older. 

I made this song with the idea of walking down the sidewalk on a breezy day while all the orange leaves are blowing off the trees. The bouncy rhythm and melancholy chord progression really capture the spirit of the season for me for whatever reason.

Mirror Cavern

Sonicesque, Vol. III is the third album of original Sonic-inspired music by Karl Brueggemann. Machine Meltdown is by far one of my most favorite works from Brueggemann. 

I wanted to remix it to show my love for his rendition of the 16-bit classics and the fact that most of his music. I definitely went the Mania route because I could totally see a level like Machine Meltdown being in Mania, it's very expressive and right off the bat you can tell it's a well thought-out song. It's something that would perfectly fit a "modern" classic sonic game.

Sonicesque Vol. III - Machine Meltdown (Stardust Remix)

Uses Chrono Trigger and some other SNES soundfonts. Considering it's drenched in reverb it's not accurate to the limitations of the hardware, but there's that nostalgic vibe anyway :P
