every summer, my family and i would travel to an island to visit my surrogate grandparents.

i had this image in my brain of the island being the most perfect place on the planet. but when i returned there years later, i came to realize that such a place had never existed.

the land itself, the nature, was still beautiful, but the inhabitants were corrupting it. it wasn’t the haven that i remembered, except for my surrogate grandparents, who remain the light of the island.

i still love the island, but my idea of it has eroded. nothing is perfect.

this album is a bittersweet ode to a beloved place that has become unfamiliar over time.

This song was composed in Sekaiju using my Yamaha TX16W sampler, utilising my Digitech DSP 256XLII and circuitbent Fostex DE1 effects units, then multitrack recorded into Cakewalk.
My bestie dusthillresident who is also on this album helped figure out some of the harmony and gave me useful feedback, without her it wouldn't be finished!

Impasaurus and I collabed for Beepcord Tourney 6 round 5, and we made this! I played the acoustic part in the middle while they wrote all the cool synthy stuff.
The lengthy tale of humanity's last stand against an armada of technological warlords... Just as the fight seems all but over, a new hope for mankind persists... Also just enjoy the music ^_^
