“Writing music is a journey of ups and downs. A sample or an idea on the way home with your bike sparks that initial creative process. I try to emphasize the contrast of soul and dark atmosphere in my music. It is all about connecting different elements to make it sound diverse. Sometimes you find that dynamic from the start, but more often I get stuck overdeveloping a track. 4ms or 3.93ms on the reverb? Sounds recognizable for every producer out there I can imagine.

I wrote “Scaventure” a long time ago. I left the project unfinished, to only recently return with new ideas and completely revamp it. “Foxley” was straightforward and came together in a heartbeat. With “Crumble”, I tried to address the more dancefloor side of drum and bass. It’s more instrumental driven and shows a different production style of mine.

Music is a very personal thing for every one of us. For me music is an endless search exposing different aspects. I love making music because it connects different cultures. There is nothing better than feeling the same kind of music.” – Northern Zone
