Frecuencias Ancestrales is an audiovisual exploration of the sounds of the ancestral cultures of Mexico by the musician /beyond/, the filmmaker Pedro Maia and the pre-Hispanic multi-instrumentalist Óscar Carrillo, who in a joint creative process seek symbiosis and synergy between the music of ancient rituals and the repetitive rhythms adopted by various currents of avant-garde music. 

The Live AV was shot in Mexico in analog format with a super 8 camera, with scenes of ceremonies that reflect the cultural, socio-historical and folkloric factors and traces that can still be found in Mexico today.

Sonar searchings, parts of a body being constructed from the beginning, a humming umbilical cord, guttural outpourings and synthesizers handcrafted by Papa Srapa.
