Hi!!!  I'm Hans Ottsen! I'm a guitarist and music teacher living in Southern California.  I studied jazz guitar and music theory at the USC School of Music in Los Angeles and later at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.  I make my living performing and teaching music.  My current projects include HANSolo (my solo guitar work), The Harlem Holler Trio (a drummerless trio with fiddler Phil Salazar and bassist Randy Tico), The W.O.R.P. Trio (a guitar/bass/drums trio with drummer Aaron Winters and bassist Jim Rankin), The Ventura Jazz Orchestra (an 18 piece jazz big band) and several other small ensemble projects.  I love music in all it's variety and splendor.  I teach guitar and piano to people of all ages.  I feel intensely grateful for the opportunity to make available the strength, joy, and healing potential of music to as many of my fellow Earth-inhabitants as possible.
