“Writing music is a journey of ups and downs. A sample or an idea on the way home with your bike sparks that initial creative process. I try to emphasize the contrast of soul and dark atmosphere in my music. It is all about connecting different elements to make it sound diverse. Sometimes you find that dynamic from the start, but more often I get stuck overdeveloping a track. 4ms or 3.93ms on the reverb? Sounds recognizable for every producer out there I can imagine.

I wrote “Scaventure” a long time ago. I left the project unfinished, to only recently return with new ideas and completely revamp it. “Foxley” was straightforward and came together in a heartbeat. With “Crumble”, I tried to address the more dancefloor side of drum and bass. It’s more instrumental driven and shows a different production style of mine.

Music is a very personal thing for every one of us. For me music is an endless search exposing different aspects. I love making music because it connects different cultures. There is nothing better than feeling the same kind of music.” – Northern Zone

Lead track “Pinch Me” is brought to you courtesy of one third of this years most hotly tipped production powerhouse 'Ivy Lab' with Lab member Sabre joining forces with the hugely talented Cern for an outing that is already leaving a trail of destruction on all of the most important dance floors, being played by every DJ in the scene including exclusive upfront support by DJ Friction's on his BBC Radio 1 show.

In perfect compliment the A side of this release is backed up incredibly by two solo outings from Cern himself following up the heat in equal measure with "Hollow Moon" and last but not least to cap off this release we have a digital bonus digital exclusive "Confession".
