Plugged In students were invited by the Needham SEPAC to write an original song and perform it at the Needham SEPAC Annual Award Ceremony!  (SEPAC stands for Special Education Parent Advisory Council)

Each year the Needham SEPAC holds an award ceremony where they recognize outstanding teachers and other school system personnel who work with local students. 

Plugged In students wrote and performed an original song about what it means to "be different". Everyone is unique and the Needham SEPAC were excited to hear us celebrate these differences, no matter how big they are or what they might be.

During the spring 2015 session, students chose to raise funds for Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans (NEADS).  Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans (NEADS)is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 1976 and is based in Princeton, Massachusetts. Their Assistance Dogs become an extension of their handlers and bring freedom, physical autonomy and relief from social isolation to their human partners who are deaf or have a disability.

Don't Listen (You're Not Alone)

Plugged In is a non-profit teen rock band program dedicated to creating positive social change through music.  In addition to weekly classes, songwriting workshops and community performances, three times a year students perform in benefit concerts that raise money for causes and organizations chosen by the students themselves. Plugged In provides a nurturing and supportive community to which young musicians feel a sense of belonging, an opportunity to express and be acknowledged for their musical interests and a chance to use their music to help others around the world.
