Pluquarius – our story 

Everything needs its right time – that's the best way to describe the founding myth of Pluquarius. 

Pizza, Jöggi, Simel, Marcel, Roli and Hendrik – that's Pluquarius. A band from Switzerland that combines spherical rock with pop chords and creates their own futuristic compositions from them.

Pluquarius, as it is now occupied, has been around since 2022. But the musical project was born much earlier. At that time, Pizza – drums and arranger – and Jöggi – composer, acoustic guitar and mandolin – were tinkering with new song ideas, which led to them getting reinforcements from Simel on bass, Marcel on keyboards and Roli on lead guitar. The fitting, spherical vocals were a long time coming. It wasn't until 2022 that they found what they were looking for, when they met Hendrik, who immediately understood the soul of their music and knew how to complement it with his singing.

How did Pluquarius get its name? Quite simply: On 23.3.2023, the planet Pluto re-entered the zodiac sign Aquarius after about 200 years. This led us to the name Plu (Pluto) quarius (Aquarius). Even though we are not amateur astrologers, the underlying meaning that there should be an increased visibility of negative structures seemed to us to be a good omen... Our lyrics reflect this hope.
