As I closed out my reflections on the last 12 months, riding through many positive personal and other emotional vicissitudes, I realized that not many things in the world make us move, think, and feel more than music. Seeing so many talented friends across different parts of the industry reminds me that though we come from different backgrounds, we're all working to make the music world inspiring for creators of all types. I feel so grateful to be able to contribute music that made me happy and hopeful in the last 365 days. 

Reflecting on where my ear and interests currently are, the records included in this mix kept coming back to me, and I've sat with them for an entire year (Thanks for your patience, Alex). After 2-3 months of complete mixing absence, I was overwhelmed with a creative wave earlier this week and recorded the mix. 

It's all over the place, in all its roughness and imperfection, but I am super proud of it and admit I listened to it many times. ❤️

[Soundtalks] Alix - Emotional Resonance

Enrica Borsatto, aka Sandra Mason (@musicfromthelivingroom), is a Venetian-born digger who has found her home in Rome. Her sets are a captivating blend of deep psychedelia and offbeat melodies. For years, she's been curating a YouTube channel, "Cocktail Naïf", where she shares obscure and forgotten music. When she's not busy exploring flea markets, you'll often find her behind the counter at Ultrasuoni Records

This wonderful set was recorded at the Bonfim club on 18.06.23, a summer sunday. Sandra Mason was inspired by the mysticism of the sunset over the Genoese sea, mixing genres such as Ambient, New Wave, World and Tribal. The result is a pearl, you can listen and enter a state of trance, where magic and reality merge, the mind relaxes and thoughts take advantage of an aura of spirituality and well-being.

He began working professionally as a sound technician for concerts and parties since 1998. He led the drum and bass project ''Overdub''. Among its collection you can find styles such as dubstep, drum and bass, jungle, breakbeat, drill with influences from techno, His music has been heard on the dance floors of cities like Berlin, Rotterdam, Bogotá, and Barcelona. Currently, he is looking to expand his music collection, covering genres such as afrobeat, acid jazz, dub, reggae, soul, funk, and breaks.
