This months episode of I Dream Of.. is an introduction of me and my show to you. The concept of this show is based around the idea of daydreaming, especially over lockdown I found myself dreaming of imaginary stages and floating crowds. This show specifically, was made with the idea of a certain forest in mind. Ranging from wild half-time, to ambient introspective cuts and back to break heavy 160 business, I think that this show encapsulates the spirit of that forest.

On this months episode of I Dream Of… For the first hour I focused on more upbeat, floor fillers which I found fitting to accompany “freedom weekend’ which we’d just had in Ireland. Garage and house have always been quite bouncy, playful genres to me and I feel like this set fit that mood which is palpable in the city. For the second hour I am honored to have a guest mix for DJ and producer, Lou. Lou has recently come into his own with his brand of energetic house and hypnotic trance. With his most notable self release titled “In The Trees” which can be found on his Soundcloud. I think the track Nature Tool from this record is a big tip!

One of the most prolific and overlooked jungle producers operating right now. We Out Here is the highly anticipated debut EP from Dublin’s Plus One on First Second Label. The prolific musical polymath lays down 4 sub-wrenching club tracks indebted to hardcore futurism with a canny pop sensibility.
Plus One is an alias of cultishly adored producer Matt Finnegan, a veteran beatsmith behind multiple productions for Irish rapper Kojaque, amongst other impressive credits on an expansive CV. He concurrently eyed up the dancefloor, stocking an impressive hard drive of unreleased club tracks that were subsequently rinsed heavily by the likes of Ben UFO, re:ni and EMA to name but a few. 
This is his solo debut proper, and comes impressively fully formed from the off. We Out Here starts the engines with a deliciously sub-y stepper of epic big room potential, with a fittingly large bassline to boot. Hood Up Head Down is suspended in an aqueous ambient-drowned RnB bath before unfurling into lush 2-step in romantic fashion. Kiki bobs assuredly along a breaks-y techno pulse amongst a twinkling twilight melody and an emotive reese-bass stunner of a line. Me concludes the EP on a necessary 160 tip, flexing a modern jungle rinse out with sharp amens and soaring melodic subs to round off this statement of intent. - Nevan Jio

Premiere: Plus One ‘Sweaty’

We're delighted to premiere the brand new track "BOMBER' from Plus One as he returns to Ar Ais Arís records following the spectacularly received ‘Bonk’ last April for the West of Ireland label and club night. This time, Plus One delivers a full five-track EP and the London-based Dubliner takes the opportunity to flex some bass heavy styles.

The EP opens with saucy summer garage, delivered over quivering bass and a killer vocal hook. Elsewhere, the intensity (and BPM) gets dialled up a notch on more energetic bangers like ‘I Can Live’ and ‘Sweaty’. The EP concludes with dark, dembow riddim ‘Zero Chance’, laden with bass and detail - a firm AAA favourite.
