All sounds from the Elf starting area in World of Warcraft Classic, Teldrassil. This is the first song I have made, I hope to revisit this area when I know a bit more about making music. I hope you enjoy this track for now. It contains two unedited fights from the area as well as individual sounds remixed together.

TW: Animal death, animal in distress

This is a bit different from my usual planned video game sound remixes, if you came here for wow things feel free to skip this one!

This song (if you can call it that) contains actual sounds of rabbits in distress and of rabbits being slaughtered. Those events are not connected however; the distressed rabbits were mishandled and are now fine, and the slaughtered rabbits were killed quickly and humanely. The sounds are put together however to create a distressing soundscape, though it is remixed in such a way that neither thing is particularly distinct. It is more to evoke the visceral feelings rather than to actually sound like a rabbit is in distress and killed. Some of the rabbit sounds are also not distressed but just sounded odd or musical to me and I wanted to put them in.

Heavily distorted voice of a man explaining the process of slaughtering rabbits. His lyrics are:
"Crushes the skull, shatters the brain. They bleed out through the eyes and nose."
"Yeah its gory yeah it's brutal but, its instantaneous death"

Also features a line from a how to care for rabbits article, read by an AI synthesized voice. It's lyrics are:

"Rabbits are fragile animals who must be handled carefully. Their bones are so delicate that the muscles in their powerful hind legs can easily overcome the strength of their skeletons. As a result, if not properly restrained, struggling rabbits can break their own spines."

Please interpret this how you would like to, but know it is meant to be metaphorical, not just using these sort of disturbing sounds for no reason.

My purpose here was to represent fragile people like myself, people who are sensitive and whose feelings are hurt easily, who are often mistreated by the world. In the struggle to try and cope with a hostile world, people can often engage in self destructive behavior, even as they try to make their situation better. This can come in the form of self harm, even up to suicide, in which the rabbit breaks their own spine. But even then, it is only from a desire to escape pain. The rabbit does not really want to die, it wants to be free and is struggling to escape. It would rather defeat its attacker, to get to a world that is kinder and will allow it to live happily. But it is small and weak, and its refusal to submit to that improper restraint which harms it is what ultimately destroys it.

This one makes me really sad and dissociate, but I also think is my best so far, or at least the one with the most intent behind it, crafting the sound to have a specific meaning, learned cords and things for it where previous songs have just been mushing sounds around until I like how they sound. This marks a turning point for me as an artist.
