"I'm a big fan of Joji, and I loved the new album. Listening to it, I wanted to add my sound, textures, vision on top of his voice and melodies. After writing some basic chords on one of my 80's synth (DX7) and layering sounds from my modular, I recorded everything and mixed with Joji's acapella to create this unique lofi house vibe."

Last year I was lucky enough to be able to travel to Vancouver. A time when one could still travel freely, when masks and social distancing did not exist.

During my stay, I tried to capture in music the essence of this feeling, this sense of adventure, but also the homesickness and the lack of marks. A melancholy but uplifting piano with glitches makes the main melody, accompanied by a floating and dreamy vocal, and a rather slow house rhythm dictates the progress into the unknown. 

Bonobo, Lane8 as well as many others influence a lot on this track. "Vancouver" has its own identity and its own soul, which I hope will make you daydream.
