Over the past two years I've been making beats here and there with a few freestyles and vocal versions, but I hadn't yet released a full project (unless you count the Pho Phonic Beat Tape). This project was written over the course of about a month but I must confess something like this has been in the works since my childhood. I always loved rhythm and drumming as a kid. If a song was on you could bet I'd be humming along almost perfectly or bouncing my knees to the beat. But it was only until I got my first drum kit I really got to "unleash the beast" so to speak. I never liked band in high school but I got way into sample based beat making and DJing, and that was dope since my Dad had a vast record collection and two turntables that I would do music sets with. But once I got an SP-505 on Christmas of 2020 I found that Tectonic sound and started making mad beats. Since then I've been trying to write more and eventually built my own home studio in which I recorded and mixed this project (except that In The Mix freestyle).
