Meet the artist behind the music:

1) If you could have any talent in the world, what would it be?

I have this recurring dream wherein i play the guitar just by using my mind, i’m able to hear every note i can think of without the limitations of the body.  It would be a wonderful talent to have in the waking world aswel.

2) What's the craziest or most out-of-character thing you've ever done?

That’s a though question! My mom could be reading this! hahah
Let’s just say, i share the same crazy stories that every “Psychonaut” has experienced.

3)What's your favourite thing about the place where you live?

We live in a small village near the mountains of Serra da Estrella in Portugal and my favourite thing here is to watch the birds show of their flying skills while listening to their morning songs with the sound of the river in the background. This really tickles my heart and makes me want to grow wings and join them, which is what i also do when my body goes to sleep :)

Helix / Två Fontäner, like his previous release, Snow Sketch / Visions, is a 17+ minute slow burning exploration of ambience and rhythm.  Taking cues from the likes of Floating Points, Four Tet and Beacon, the tracks melt Tartaglione's specific brand of atmosphere with a well rounded beat.

Like the shape of it's namesake, Helix twists clanging melodic lines around a mess of white noise and a persistent backbeat.  The track eventually evolves to calm with a sidestick, allowing Två Fontäner's energetic intro and droning background to follow.

Helix / Två Fontäner is the first of a number of releases this year for Planète - who looks to solidify his status as one of Australia's most intriguing producers over the coming months.

"This track was inspired by my time spent in Israel around the booming psytrance scene. People dance like it's their ritual therapy and smiles and hugs circulate the community. No divisions between people, everyone there for one reason, musical connection and dance. I wanted to capture that feeling by experimenting with the psytrance 4 on the floor beat and add an ethnic shuffle, that carries a middle eastern vibe with the instrumentation and melodic patterns and harmonic scales. I imagine this piece as a journey through the Negev desert."

Wei-Chi Field Bio:
	Wei Chi Field (Pronounced Way-Chee Field) literally translating to "protective energy field,” is an eclectic music project lead by Dan Yolles that aims to connect listeners to their own energy field a well as the community’s, via vibrant vibrations and infinite soundscapes, intended to bring about movement, deep expression and inner healing. Many of the sounds woven in the music are recorded from moments and experiences around the world, especially from nature and cultural hot spots that are then transformed into the fluvial beats and melodic motifs. But perhaps what makes Wei Chi Field unique is their element of organic/live instrumentation supported by Dan, Samuel Wexler, Benjamin Sunshine Shane Eagen and other guest musicians. This love infused music is intended to take listeners on expansive journeys that reach desert lands, underwater oasis, remote jungles and rain forests, the cosmos, and the depths within. Wei Chi Field gently cradles your energetic being, presenting your mind with sacred harmonies and intricate composition to grasp your body with deep down to mid-tempo bass rhythms.
