When I am at a time of desperateness, loneliness and what feels like an all time low in my “Love Life”, I tend to some times trail on this thought process of “What even is love?”, and “What if I haven’t even felt it yet and I just think I have but actually there’s a greater feeling and emotion out there that I haven’t experienced yet.” You could say I think too much… but I believe we all do in our own ways, some of us are just a little bit more afraid to admit it. 

    Well, I wrote a song called “What’s Love?” and I basically just journey down my thought process of feeling alone. But the twist in the song is actually the fact that I am not physically alone. I have some one who I once believed I loved and now I’m getting these feelings of doubt and nervousness. I start to wonder how I even got this far in the relationship knowing how many relationships that have crumbled in the past due to my expense. When I get into this panic mode I start to mentally drive away from all feeling and emotion towards the other and I express that in one of my lyrics saying ”my get away car has fallen apart". It's definitely a form of self destruction and confusion about romance. 

    Within the song emotionally, I tried to be honest with myself and confess my self destruction. In these times its almost as if you see so many people around you falling in love, getting married, and having kids. Why does that scare me? Why do I feel the need to start running when I find myself going down a path I thought I wanted in the first place? I say a line, “What is this feeling that they say I’m missing?” Although no one is physically saying “You are missing out on this awesome feeling!” Its their pictures, happiness, and story that is screaming it. So thats where I realize I am becoming envious in that moment. 

    Now, before you go and think I am a sad sap, whiny, attention whore… (LOL) I do not feel like this all the time and a lot of us don’t. This song to me is the emotion you feel while you’re experiencing doubt in either a broken relationship or simply while you’re alone. I know someone out there can relate to this and if so, lets just say it. We don't quite know what love is yet... and I guess this song is a symbol of our curiosity.. So for those who know what it is, What is it?
