This is Thank God 4 Drugs | Da Drought 17 — my first-ever demo mixtape, split into two sides. It’s unfiltered, unpolished, and unapologetically honest. Entirely freestyled over beats I personally curated, flipped, and reengineered to reconnect with the purest version of myself: my inner child—the place where I believe all our real power exists. The first half consists of unreleased Ye records I pieced together my own way. Since I was super young I always dreamt of making records with artists like Ye, The Dream and Thug. This project was my way of making that dream a reality. With all the new restrictions it makes the old way of hip hop difficult where an MC can show their abilities on popular beats. Lil Wayne is the pinnacle example of this, and I named the second half of the tape Da Drought because I paid homage to Weezy and the times where freestyling was cool.

This tape was crafted in a haze of late nights, raw emotion, and mind-expanding substances. No pen. No pressure. Just pure stream of consciousness.
