Deltarune Chapter 3 - Black Knife (FM Version)

This time around, I actually wasn't planning for any covers or remixes, as I was busy enough with other commitments, but I ended up liking this song a bit and decided it might be funny to try and convert it to a more Konami arcade style (using the same configuration here as with the Derelict Vessel remix from 2023, so Konami Over Drive - 1x YM2151 and 2x K053260 PCM chips).
Not much else to say - I've enjoyed my time with the Deltarune new chapters, and I hope you have too. Heavily recommend the purchase on Steam or any of your platforms of choice if you're not on PC!

i had SO much fun making this! originally, i was going to do a cover of Ever Higher but joy tay ended up having the exact same idea as me (and got it out so much quicker than i could, seriously she cranks these things OUT.) i have at least one other song in mind to cover from the new DELTARUNE chapters, but i'm still trying to figure out how to go about it.

so, i decided to set my sights on another track thats been an absolute earworm in my head since fighting jackenstein. this track is wonderfully dynamic and i was really able to use this as an opportunity to learn some new things in furnace! i even utilized a bit of extended ch3 here, which i've NEVER touched prior to this track... so of course it's used quite sparingly, only about a couple instances

i put a huge amount of effort and love into this cover and i hope others will be able to enjoy it as much as i did making it!

havent done any proper mega man music in some time. as it so happens, my good friend forple has been working on a romhack of mega man II GB that completely overhauls its music, and asked me to do a custom track for the game's erstwhile-title-screen-theme-recycling final level. as im sure you know by now, im a sucker for any romhacking project. i was powerless to refuse.
