PNKSLM Recordings proudly presents our first LP with the Philadelphia garage rock band The Mary Veils, shortly following last autumn's "Somewhere Over The Rowhome" EP. Whilst "Rowhome" went a slightly more straight forward garage punk route - "Esoteric Hex" takes the band down a darker, much heavier route. For fans of bands like Oh Sees, Meatbodies, King Gizzard etc - this one's a really a no-brainer. Again produced by Jeff Zeigler (Kurt Vile, The War on Drugs etc) and Cory Hanson (Wand, Ty Segall etc), it's one of those rare records that really smashes you in the face, but also somehow sounds amazingly produced.

"We Ride the Universe" is the third LP from Malmö's Arre! Arre!. Working again with long time collaborator Joakim Lindberg as producer, the band have maintained their core inspiration from the 90s Riot Grrrl scene, but also broadening their sound to include a wider range of influences - from post-punk and 60’s ballads, to James Brown, to the Spice Girls.

As usual, the album has a strong underlying theme throughout - this time of motorbikes and female biker gangs, with the band even going to the extreme of recording local bikers driving around the car park of the Studio Sickan to sample within the tracks. Combined with the other new production quirks such as ABBA-inspired choirs and galloping percussion, “We Ride The Universe” has turned into a markedly cohesive and unique album for the band, sure to impress fans both new and old.

A Place to Bury Strangers dive headfirst into suffering on the dark and explosive “I’m Hurt,” the third single from the upcoming See Through You LP. Stark electronic kick drums and mangled guitars serge over a tense bassline that pulses throughout this anguished industrial dirge. Ackermann lays his bones out bare and invites us all to come to inspect the wounds. “I’m Hurt” is an anthem to the malnourished and disenfranchised children of rock n roll whose hurt is in need of healing.

Mandrake Handshake return with their brand new single 'Emonzaemon', taken from their brand new EP 'The Triple Point of Water' out on November 18th. 

'Emonzaemon' is a fearless psych-explosion representing the eclectic sound of the hypnotic 9 piece psych-collective, with the main inspiration for the song coming from a ninja from the anime 'Katanagatari'. Indicative of the self-honed style they dub ‘Flowerkraut’, Mandrake unleash a hedonistic brain-frying feast of krautrock, art-pop and psychedelia, spiced with enigmatic grooves and fearless improvisations.
