Very often when I watch the news it makes me angry and feeling so helpless to see all the poverty, injustice and growing racism in the world. And it makes me even more angry to hear some so called politicians talking about the western values which have to be defended against the rest (poor part) of the world. Then I ask myself, what are these values they are talking about? Basically they had been developed during the time of the French Revolution of 1789 and were called "freedom, equality and fraternalism". These great ideas are valid not just for white Europeans or North Americans but explicitly  for all humans all over the world. So we must not be quiet when we face intolerance, ignorance or injustice in our personal lifes. That´s what each of us can do. We are not helpless.

The idea for this song came to me when  I was on vacation in Greece some years ago. As I was laying on the beach enjoying the sunny day, this melody began to spin in my head. Immediately I did a quick voice memo recording. Here is a full recording of that little summer memory, made in my home studio. The language is swedish, if you wonder:)
