 From the ashes of G.A.R.N. awoke Poetica – a gothic SID metal band from the Stavanger/Sandnes region of Norway.
 
Heavily inspired by the founders of SID metal Machinae Supremacy and the gothic metal bands Epica, Sirenia and Delain, Poetica decided to create their very own genre. 
By fusing the retro sounds of 8 and 16 bit games with a gothic metal approach we were able to achieve our distinctive sound.
 
The band lineup was completed late 2011, and the name was decided the following winter. 
 
Fronted by the gorgeous Stine the band have played a few gigs in our local area and are now ready to spread the word.
