We’re not sure if Sergey of Saint Petersburg-based project Boston Dusk inspired himself with the twilight moments in that American city but this time for the new release on the Russian label Soviett he produced three remarkable tracks that sum up motives of various conuntries. This EP begins with «Moskva-Kassiopeya» (which is a title of the famous Soviet movie shot in 1974) and you’ll enjoy this track on Friday evening while getting ready to meet your friends at a pre-party at some bar or club, or maybe packing your case for a long journey, no matter if it’s a vacation or a cosmic trip. The track «Wrong Hat» underlines broad views of Boston Dusk as a composer and shows his technical skills. The original version of «The Lights» is filled with elements that are indicative for the American House while the remix by Ivan Starzev modifies it with details of modern Russian House as it is frequently described in international music media. The EP is completed with a remix by Vibe Impact of «Moskva-Kassiopeya» that is «Away From The Earth» — and how far did you fly while listening to the new works by Boston Dusk?

Мы не знаем, действительно ли Сергей из санкт-петербургского проекта Boston Dusk вдохновлялся сумерками в этом американском городе, но в этот раз для российского лейбла Soviett у него получились сразу три отличные композиции, звучащих на мотивы разных стран. EP открывается треком «Москва-Кассиопея» (помните знаменитый советский фильм 1974 года?), его действительно классно слушать и в пятницу вечером, собираясь на пре-пати на встречу с друзьями в баре или клубе, а может быть и складывая вещи в дальнюю дорогу, хоть в отпуск, хоть в космос. Трек Wrong Hat подчёркивает широту композиторских взглядов Сергея и его продюсерскую квалификацию. Оригинальная версия The Lights наполнена фирменными ходами как раз американского хауса, в то время как ремикс от Ивана Старцева преображает его, добавляя современных традиций Russian House, о которых часто пишут в международной музыкальной прессе. Релиз завершается ремиксом от проекта Vibe Impact на «Москву-Кассиопею» в версии «Далеко от Земли» — а насколько далеко успели улететь вы, слушая новинки Boston Dusk?

It took just two and a half years for the Russian label Soviett to reach the milestone of one hundred releases in their catalog. Pleasing the audience of DJs and electronic music fans with a new single, EP or artist album as frequently as every two weeks, Soviett started as a platform for solely Russian authors inspired by the early optimistic and unsophisticated electronica of the Soviet Union. 

The label quickly gained international reputation and started welcoming like-minded musicians from around the world who submitted theirs works. Soviett 100 comes in a form of double vinyl with full-length DJ-friendly versions and a digital 10-track compilation that unites talented producers and celebrates this important achievement of the label team. Boston Dusk - Imagination

Boston Dusk lands on Pogo House Records for release 201 with 'Giant'. Boston Dusk introduces a track that’s heavily laden in oldskool rave elements from the oldskool hardcore drums and percussion, right down to the keys and strings making this a certified dancefloor mover.  

On remix duty, we have Birmingham's Concinnity applying his unique signature sound to 'Giant' and flipping the track completely. It’s a remix stacked full of unpredictability as the track progresses through different states and syncopated drum patterns with a reggae tinge, all tied up with serious level Concinnity-Esque bounce, for good measure
