The Sccucci Manucci label continues to develop with every release and following the success of the last double 12" vinyl pack, the 'Octofiga EP', the imprint unleashes another 8 tracks that traverse the house sound. 

Aashton is the first up on the EP, this young producer from Brighton is hotly tipped for big things in 2014. His track 'I can't Shake It' is a combination of emotion and polished production. A little bit of a good weather anthem if you ask us. 

Next up we have another Sccucci debutant: Maverick. It's hard to believe this is the producers first release. A pure and raw house track thunders out from the vinyl grooves. We have a lot more to come from this talented Frenchman, keep it locked. 

Super talented and all round top guy 'Jackson Ryland' unleashes 'Tandem Tech' on to the masses. A monster of a track that wouldn't sound of place in a Boddika set... crunch! 

Neapolitan based house collective 'Marsupials' round off the first 12" with a garage shuffling, pipe organ, hands in the air good time track. We love what these guys are doing, look out for their full debut EP on Dabit Records coming soon. 

When he is not dishing out advice on his talk show, Montel is dishing out chunky house monsters like 'Lemme Hold U'. We are honored to have this guy on the label, quickly establishing himself as a leading figure in the house scene and keeping his sound firmly in the roots house.

Sultry deep goodness from the man called Mr. Kavalicious is next on the EP. A woozy bassline and sublime vocal cuts make this track one of our favs on the EP. Another one to check on Dabit Records too. 

Mikki Funk calls in a vocal favour from Albert Vogt to create a timeless piece of house music in our humble opinion. Sounding like it was made in the basement of Chicago youths house in 1994, Mikki nails it. 

Last up we have the mysterious B Moe with an awesome track entitled Gambino. Solid bass work, hip hop spits, strings and a twonk bass drop that will leave you drawing for a pull up.

Following up where where Pocket Money began, adding 4 more talented artist's to the PM Hustler's family.  This time with part 2 bringing a slightly different sound the the previous installment welcoming talents James Johnston, Jemaho, Robert Reinartz and the new but very talented Soul Habitat which will be his debut release.  That rounds up 8 artists to complete for now Pocket Money's Hustlers EP's before moving forward next time on to some solo EP's forthcoming. "Pocket Money records is a vinyl only label with their feet in Manchester but with their minds and hearts firmly in their spiritual homes of Chicago and Detroit. This independent label is focused completely on the release of only the finest modern underground house music. Their most recent offering is due out on the 13th of April in all good records stores.

This EP is a collaboration between 4 of their newest artists to give the listening public a taster of what is yet to come later on in the year. First up is James Johnston, this Glasgow native is no stranger to the house music game. With a string of releases in the last few years he has featured on labels such as Gerd’s 4lux and Kolour’s off shoot Undertones. But not content with releasing music on other peoples labels he decided to set up No Matter What with fellow PMR artist Alex Agore. Alex was featured on Pocket Money Records debut offering “Hustler EP Part 1″. Johnston’s track on the Hustlers EP, “House Sound” is a true house track through and through. A perfect kick drum and hi-hat combo is accompanied by synth chords and a howling vocal sample to give you everything you need to make a great house anthem.

Next up is the Berlin native, Jemaho. Real name Jean Marie Houvenaghel. He is also the brain behind Jazzy Butterfly Records with long time associate Jason Shaw AKA 4TRAK Music. Jemaho’s feature on the record, entitled “Ghosts Inside Me” allows for a smooth transition between tracks with a heavy old school Detroit house feel to it. This track instantly makes you want to move and will be a welcomed addition to dj’s sets.

Then on the B side we are greeted by the Dutchman Robert Reinartz, who’s most recent release was in October of last year. “Tearz EP” was done on freche fruchte recordings. This classic house EP reminds the listener of Strictly Rhythm or a Todd Terry classic. On this record though “Stay With Him” is a faster track to welcome you onto the other side of the wax. While the vibe of old school house continues throughout Roberts track is a harder hitting kick drum lead track which has a strong Kerri Chandler feel to it.

Last but certainly not least is Soul Habitat which is an independent deep house project with its musical roots firmly attached to early garage house style. Based in Poland and with a history of making bass music this is a new direction and one which I have very few complaints about.  “City Lights” is my favourite track on this record, with its bouncing beat and melodic soulfulness its an instant hit and when a saxophone sample is introduced to the equation it takes the record as a whole to a whole other level."

Remixes and releases on Salted Music, Large, Hed Kandi, King Street Sounds, Simma Black, Madhouse, Peppermint Jam Records, Good For You Records,etc., have all followed since then, making Soledrifter’s tracks among the hottest commodities in house music and ,quite often,hitting the top 10 Deep House tracks on Traxsource.
