The willingness to believe in something that is bigger than you or your own limitations is humbleness. Humility and purity of heart is what allow us to FLY HIGH. 

Being able to play for the ED community of París was a dream beyond my imagination and so this set is full of that high energy that comes when you are seeing your dreams come true, full of joy and uplifting beats, bass music, celebration and of course a lot of my latinamerican roots to celebrate the 2021 European Summer that was kicking in after a lot of COVID restrictions. 

Merci Beacoup to all of you that were present on the dancefloor that day and gave it all! So much happy memories to cherish.

something happening somewhere…

hi there, ❀

somehow i felt (and i wished...) somethin’ was brewing when i found out that certain underground bosses* were checkin' out my soundcloud. those who know know, so i was thrilled! 
the moment i received the invitation to play an opening set at the first rave of the summer season thrown by @capsuletransmissions i felt incredibly happy. not only because it was a bucketlist check, it also was a dream coming true playing at such an notorious rave. as an true amsterdam housescene admirer, it meant a lot to me having my sound being appreciated by those two chiefs. ♡

excited as i was, i directly started digging my collection, matching the old with the new whilst focussing on a certain ‘cute’ sound which can be heard in early 2000’s jackin’ house tracks. i came across a lot of new favourites, among them some deep groovers by @tommy-largo, @joeychicago & @scrubfish... i threw these (and many more) in the mix with six of my own sample-based productions, from which one is brand new. the track involved, ‘the message – grandmaster flash (sucre. rework)’, just fitted in perfectly... it just had to be this way! hearing it's original on a disco mixtape (which was recorded over 40 years ago by dj tony at cartouch) which my father played us, got us inspired to give it a proper sucre. treatment.

furthermore, i wanted to play a vibey track from @kinky-movement, a 14-year-old beauty by legend @boriswerner and i could not resist to share a true house classic by maestro @tim-deluxe-official. i came across 'incident' ('miyagi') by @joris-voorn and the 'trip down sweet memory lane’ -kind of vibe made me play it, as an ode to house music from back in the day... (i was only 13 when it came out!)

so, my first amsterdam club experience was with french techno pioneer @laurent-garnier & @sohaso boss nuno dos santos playing @demarktkantine. during the first rave i ever visited, spaceandtime where the ones who brought me everlasting musical memories. finding out that my rave debute meant sucre. lined up with both @nunodossantos and @lostinspaceandtime made me feel enormously proud.

during my set these moments of pure bliss all came together in one musical synergy and made me feel grateful and happy being able to play sucre. house at a signature rave spot surrounded by beautiful souls. thank you!

Translippers is a psy-dub project of Arthur Mustafin, a composer and music performer from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. In 1984 he gained experience in jazz and rock bands as a bass player, but in 2011 this changed with his trip to India, where he seriously got into ethnical instruments. This led to Arthur incorporating these instruments into his own production, which significantly transformed his sound.
The perfectly mixed dub rhythm will relax your body, and the atmospheric electronica will inspire you.
