Point Verde is a four piece ensemble whose music is derived from guitar-driven rock, along with elements of electronica. 

The band originates from Newfoundland, Canada, but its members now live in various parts of the country. The change in proximity dramatically altered their creative writing process. The group (formerly known as Palaver) disbanded in 2007 and was known as a jam-based live act. After getting reacquainted in 2014, the bandmates decided to trial a long-distance writing collaboration. The experiment led to their most eclectic work to date. 

Point Verde's first international release is the seven-song album titled "Escapism." It was written and recorded from January through October of 2015. The band's keyboardist and vocalist, Phil Butler, spearheaded its creation, taking each member's ideas and compiling them into full songs at his studio in Calgary, Alberta. Through open and productive communication, the album came together as a unique and unified whole.
