drew the map
but kept extending
the growth gets even more intense
here age spreads its' nerves
like trees once taught
in a fresh version of the first ever pattern
tenderly breaking boundairies
regaining just the right balance
to set the very first spiral in motion
and I hold my pace and realise
I'm preserving my decay
for little more than future reference

Als het totaal perfectie is
is perfectie dan perfect?
Is imperfectie dan een gat in het geheel 
Waaruit perfectie lekt? 
Als perfectie echt perfect zou zijn

Spiegeling of reflectie?

Richt eens op perfectie 
uw gehele intellect
Denk daarmee bijvoorbeeld 
 aan iets als een insect
Neem nou een mug je hoopt toch dat 
zo ’n beest per direct verrekt
Toch als je hem van dichtbij ziet
is ie weer perfect
En neem dan onze houding, 
rechtopstaand of erect
veroorzaakt dat ons denken
of is dat indirect
en wat nou als dat denken
ons indirect weer nekt
je moet dat in ’t totaal zien
dat is dan weer perfect

Als het totaal perfectie is

Als een gebouw gebouwd is 
dankzij een architect
vraag je je misschien af 
van welk idee zo’n man vertrekt
omdat er niet in valt te leven 
en het trendy raamwerk lekt
maar hij wordt geboren en hij sterft
dus als mens is hij perfect
of neem nou een pondje kersen
met suiker overdekt
die je vacuüm in een pot propt 
tot nadere tijd geweckt
 ooit geplukt bij mensen 
met een zacht Brabants dialect
nu gegeten bij vanille-ijs
wat is bestaan toch weer perfect

denk niet dat ik dit geschreven heb 
omdat perfect zo lekker bekt
of dat ik me thuis zit te vervelen 
omdat ik wat spieren heb verrekt
nee, het is gewoon iets in me 
dat mijn aandacht heeft gewekt
ik probeer gewoon te checken
of het al dubbel is gecheckt
het lijkt me namelijk iets 
dat zich aan de logica onttrekt
terwijl het toch iets schijnt te zijn 
dat de lading perfect dekt
denk nu niet dat dees’ schrijver
doelbewust dit nummer rekt
dat is iets waardoor mijn humeur, 
zij het achteraf, betrekt

Maagdelijkheid, o maagdelijkheid

Geen ideaal zo breekbaar als geloof in eigen wil
Aan inflatie onderhevig, een wens, een droom, een gril

De een verliest zijn sleutels, de ander weer een bril

En verlies je ooit een lidmaat zoek je verder naar fantoom
Bij gebrek aan je familie zoek je in Spoorloos naar een oom
Soms verliest men het verstand of de zin voor realiteit
En persoonlijk ben ik vaak mijn pincode weer kwijt
O ja, de sleutel van mijn fiets en dat na mijn rijbewijs
En iedere keer mijn paspoort bij elk begin van nieuwe reis
Zoekend naar het heden vind ik keer op keer verleden

Some moments in time hurt a bit. Some instruments tend to help a bit getting through such periods. Some instruments themselves hurt too. I tend to lend a helping hand. Sometimes.

Agony

think big, I heard repeatedly
i managed, up to parallel universes
time, moving in mysterious ways
& couldn’t work up the arrogance
to change all that
& than i found the need… within
& i wanted my streaming conciousness
it’s  small rocks 
in shapes of faiths, believes, convictions
& all of that eroding
cause time bites
seconds itch
minutes scratch
houres punch
days can strangle
weeks may torture
months do kill
and years, years slaughter
cause time bites

than again; there’s laughter
there’s always a vulture of some kind
we never die alone
i can’t think bigger

time flows, the big restless river
relentless I might add
into a Mississippi-delta
into the deep dark soothing ocean
& every once in a while
it clutters into bits of reality
lumps that seems to matter
than the river will die,
death feeds the living,
matter just repeats the pattern of the rythm,
in a much, much slower speed

the days got dark
the nights seemed lighter
& nothing wanted to bend in the wind
i felt so close to home
someone spoke to me,
a voice like a warm breeze

almost liquid words
all of us, just threads in time
in all the colours & each melody
the slipstream allows us to take shape

soms volgde en soms was ik 
het eerste schaap over de dam
was het schoonste volk 
hoe later op de dag ik kwam 
ging met de kippen op stok
en tikte nergens zo als thuis 
was het beste paard van stal
en het kruis in elk huis 
was soms de krenten in de pap
en soms bleek ik het zout
sprak over koetjes en kalfjes
en soms was mijn zwijgen goud
ik had goud in de mond bij morgenstond
geen zee ging mij te hoog
ik bevoer ze alle zeven
nooit achter beide oren droog 
vond tien vogels in de lucht 
altijd nog beter dan in de hand
heb al mijn schepen op het droge 
achter me verbrand
liep geregeld naar de maan
nam geen blad meer voor de mond
ik stak peper en veren 
in andermans kont

en de bittere pil geslikt
men plakte me achter het behang

was soms roomser dan de paus
heb de wereldzee bedwongen

piepte ik als jonge
ik keek katten uit de bomen
haalde oude koeien uit de sloot
sloeg goede raad vaak in de wind
of 't nou oud ijzer was of lood
zag het scherpst van de snede
en at koek van eigen deeg
heb in de bek gekeken 
van elk paard dat ik ooit kreeg
maar heb eerlijk gezegd
de put nooit gedempt 
toen het kalf verdronken was

new visions be conceived
new insights received
new delusions will be met
new experiences will be had
the beauty of the cruelty of it all

tries to repeat what doesn't repeat

i have seven dreams a minute 
and they all split up in two, or three, or four, or more 
i grasp to keep them with me 
to read before dispose 
i just don't have the eyes for it 
its a freakin' overdose

A Butterfly's Achievements

Everything is music, I'm loving the imperfections; they bring life to sound. Don't recognize the boxes around it as valid though... Love some jazz in my funk, some rock in my minimal, some punk in my ambient. 
The ever growing composition in my head has absorbed and continiously tries to harmonize my drawings, my paintings, my words and my music. It's no small job, but someone's got to do it...
