Inside Me is about the magic people see inside themselves, talking to their inner core. The track represents the confidence people strive towards. Inside Me is inspired by P. Funk, Bootsy Collins/ James Brown on the groove. The first beat of the bar is muted in a bootsty inspired groove followed by a classic amen, playing scattered snares as a nod to Jungle.

About JMist

JMist, Jay Mistry is a music/ film audio producer and sonic designer. Indian Classical & Jazz percussion influenced Jay stylistically early on; from Roots, Neo-Soul to gospel. Production includes Hip-hop/ R&B to footwork and jungle; cinematic composition and design. Jay is also part of the acclaimed Dub Clinique collective founded by Jungle veteran Threshold, with a collaborative single STOP DEM on vinyl. Current credentials include Dominic Clarke’s feature “Mirrorless,” Benjamin Zephaniah’s Short Film, Rebello Music & Manarce’s “Soul Ballad.”

Optikal Dubs Records proudly presents their new release, Dirt Bag EP, featuring Britain producer ETRA. The release is the first inclusion of this Multi-genre bass music producer to the label roster of artists.

About ETRA: Releasing his 'Bubblegum' EP on co-founder of Foreign Beggars PAV4N’s label ‘4NCY’ in early 2021, ETRA has seen his releases premiere on DJ Mag and UKBM. Formerly known as Fizika and working with ‘Noxious Records’ ETRA switched from learning to produce Drum & Bass to focus on making music blending all the sounds he is influenced by. ETRA released his first experimental footwork-influenced tracks on Alexander Saylor’s label ‘Nü Kvlture’ in 2021. Following up with a Lofi / Jungle inspired two track EP ‘Digital Dust’ which was heard opening the debut ‘Keep Hush’ event in Sydney, Australia.  When not blending the sounds of Jungle, Breakbeat, Footwork, UKG, Drum & Bass and Dubstep, ETRA continues to work on other creative projects and has created artwork for ’Noxious Records’ and ’Diffrent Music’ You can hear ETRA’s guest mixes on: 4NCY Radio / Sounds of the KVLT / GRIT / In The Void. Now he presents his latest EP release 'Dirt Bag EP', an exploration of different groovy vibes within the Breaks / Jungle realm.

About Frenquency 
At the mere age of four years old, young Frenquency was already intrigued by all kinds of music. Nowadays, that glimmering curiosity has shown itself in the form of dancing, pouring coffee, and making various sounds and songs. His live sets are a mix of nature and provide the proper amount of energy to the dancefloor. Juke/Footwork, Ghettohouse, Jungle, Tropical Bass, Rave, Hip Hop, and Beats all have a big influence on his music.

After the success of the previous compilation series comprised of 4 releases (Syncopation, Oscillation, Detonation & Isolation, all available free to download via our Bandcamp page,) we’re excited to present a new series of VA. This time every VA will focus on a specific genre or sub- genre of what we call Bass Music. The title of the first release, ’Eternal Darkness of the Halftime Beats” reveals itself the sonic direction we want to go in, without the need for additional information. As usual, our VA welcome an heterogeneous mix of well known names in the game as well as new comers.
