US based Anderson (@andersonmusik) is a chap who knows his stuff, and is without a doubt one of the best and most exciting artists out there. 

Having caught our eyes (and ears) a couple of years ago with his sublime Description EP on the wicked Tresydos imprint, we have been completely and utterly flawed by all the music Matt has shared with the world ever since. With multiple releases on labels such as Wex, Gestalt, Space Lab and Gene On Earth’s T.S.O.L, he not only produces under his main moniker ‘Anderson’,  but also has 5 other active aliases and counting!! This dude is a total power-house when it comes to releasing music, and what’s even more impressive is that he is still able to maintain the highest level of quality whilst still keeping true to his trademark rapture-ish sound we have all become accustomed to in all of his projects. 

We were very fortunate to be given the chance to feature one of Matt’s tracks, ‘Sunbeam’, in our final Viral Syndicate digital compilation last year. This turned out to be one of the tracks which gained the most interest from all 50+ tunes we released during the series, and will be seeing the light of day on wax in the form of a 4 track EP next year on Haŵs. We are extremely excited to share this project with you all, more news to follow mid-2022.

Here, KT effortlessly mixes through bubbling 90's house, acid, breaks, trance and electro, reflecting a snapshot of her collection, typically heard during the early hours of her sets in da club.

Tipped to us by previous mix contributor, Unai Trotti, Vass shows us exactly why he is a regular feature and close affiliate at accomplished London-based parties such as Cartulis and Art Of Dark. Quest is one of those new school selectors who have taken the art of crate digging to an all-new level. Italian-born, Berlin-based but having spent time in London working at the legendary Vinyl Pimp, he has long been mining the depths of everything from UKG to outré techno, Italian hip hop to long-lost house. Importantly, he uses those sounds to tell his own stories, often with an air of mystery and intrigue that plays out like an adventure into the unknown. 

Many mixes follow a traditional arc of increasing energy levels but in this week's podcast, Quest plays with those expectations to build up and then pull back, threading together minimal rhythms then raw and crunchy wave sounds. Twisted electronics lead into celestial acid and the smooth and seductive sits next to the dark and edgy. It's a low-key, low-lit selection that draws from mutant strains of house, techno and electro that are both futurist and dystopian. Quest might be his moniker, but it is also a perfect description of his mission.
