The hedonistic streets and shores of Barcelona during the Sonar Festival are one of the main attractions of Europe’s busy schedule of summer events. As 2020Vision and Poker Flat discovered last year, Barcelona also has amazing waterside locations that are tailor made for throwing parties. Last year 2020Vision and Poker Flat joined forces with Barcelona based Bonobo Concept to throw a beautiful terrace party at the inspirational Boo Beach club, that boasted it’s own jetty out to sea. This year the same crews join forces again with the addition of Audiofly’s Supernature.

This time during the Sonar Festival week, the guys return to the city to add their own unique brand of electronic music fiesta. Bonobo Concept will be a 16 hour party of epic proportions taking place in an incredible venue that has it’s own pool and a beach front location with a large club area as well. The venue is fully licensed with none of the sound restrictions that plagued so many parties last year. 

Headlining the event is the legendary STEVE BUG, who needs little introduction as a true pioneer and world class player, Bug plays an exclusive session for us at Bonobo.

Swiss native DEETRON plays for us again after being many people’s man of the match last year. Confirming his reputation for flawless 3-deck mixing and warm groove-laden techno. AUDIOFLY represent their Supernature imprint with their bass line heavy house that has seen them also release on Get Physical and Viva. 2020Vision’s RALPH LAWSON will be there to demonstrate what has made his Leeds-based imprint one of the seminal independent UK record labels of all time, with his 20 years plus knowledge as a selector.

Do we stop there? Of Course not!
The headliners just keep coming…

HUXLEY, one of the best-loved producers to emerge in the last few years, has forged a recent reputation for himself and risen incredibly quickly to become a leading light of the UK house and bass scene. ANDRE LODEMANN steps up for an exclusive set – his extraordinary cut, “Where Are You Now” has become a firm favourite with every discerning electronic music lover. He is closely followed by newcomer EJECA, who has risen rapidly of late, as a young tirk producer alongside his homeboys Bicep with recent releases on 2020Vision and Last Night On Earth. Another new face on the UK house scene creating waves is CITIZEN, who has shot into the limelight quickly with releases on Madtech and Love Fever and a fierce DJ live set.

Berlin production partners KYODAI join the fray with the backing of musical luminaries Kerri chandler, Masters at Work and Gilles Peterson to play an exclusive live session. SIMON BAKER, whose certified classic “Plastik” still receives extensive playtime 6 years on, and with a recent EP on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth label, will offer his notoriously broad and dynamic style to the Barcelona faithful, along with fellow label-mate BURNSKI. The Berlin based man has become known for a melodic, modern take on vintage Chicago house, which has allowed him to grace some of the world’s best clubs, including Fabric, The Rex Club and Watergate. ALEX NIGGEMANN’s much celebrated, “Paranoid Funk” LP on Poker Flat says all that needs to be said of the talented German, where a myriad of influences and styles is deftly woven into an album of excellence. DANIEL DEXTER will be showcasing his Kraftwerk-indebted sound, having released on Poker Flat and Semester, whilst 2020Vision duo PBR STREETGANG will be educating the crowd with their cheerful disco-tinged style of house, which has seen support from Greg Wilson and Crazy P. Rounding off the bill is ANDRADE, an upcoming French producer who will be one to watch in 2013 and beyond. Our beach arena is fronted by our hosts Bonobo who showcase their homegrown talent and rising stars - FAKTORM / OSCAR EGOIST / JAN PICH / IVAN ESCURA / MAURICIO VARGAS / CHRISTIAN VYZLI / VICKY MORALES / ALE MARQUEZ.
