Josh Butler drops his latest 3 track EP titled ‘The Loop’ on his label, Origins RCRDS, featuring his signature sound of classy house music that is aimed firmly for the dancefloor. 

A well-known figure in the scene, Butler’s exquisite productions have surpassed 90 million streams across all platforms, and he has been commissioned for official remixes for the likes of Carl Cox, Joris Voorn, and Fatboy Slim. He has released on a plethora of powerhouse labels such as Defected, Crosstown Rebels, Solid Grooves, and Snatch!, and his last outing on Origins was a fan favorite with support from industry luminaries like Beltran, Joris Voorn, Oliver Dollar, and Marco Faraone.. 

The EP 'The Loop' by Josh Butler displays his exceptional production abilities. It commences with 'Feedback Loop,' a track that embodies Butler's signature style, featuring a looped base and disco elements, resulting in a lively and invigorating dance floor experience. 'Open Loop' follows, delving deeper into the musical journey with its evolving pads and dark stabs. Title track ‘Rights’ features a driving beat, a whispering vocal and crescending drums leading into a seriously grooving bassline and distinctive echoing synth patterns.

Nick Curly makes a welcome return to the Truesoul fold with a strong two-tracker brimming with old skool spirit.

The Mannheim native has built a career on creating timeless club-ready records; taking inspiration from two decades of electronic music, while still being resolutely focused on bringing something fresh to the dancefloor. Over the years he’s contributed three quality EPs to the Truesoul catalogue, highlighted by the deep grooving ‘Go’ – a standout track from 2016.

His return to the imprint with ‘Ezeiza’ sees him mining influences from yesteryear to create two classy cuts that fit into techno and house sets alike. Curly said he wanted to get back to the groove and spirit that was often felt in older tracks, taking inspiration from his early releases on Cocoon and Sci+Tec. Achieving his aim, ‘Who Made Who’ is driven by analogue rhythms, old skool vox drops and a vintage melody line that runs throughout that glistens with old skool vigour. The title track accompanies it, a deeper head down affair that pairs a sleek synth line with crisp drum work to craft a lush end-of-night tool.

Josh Butler - Dreamweaver 

Over the past five or six years Josh Butler (@joshbutler), the man from the North of England, has built an enviable career from his polished, slick house sound. Releases on stalwarts like Rejected and Hot Creations along with a residency at Sankeys Ibiza, speak to his quality, and this new release on Poker Flat continues his ascendant trajectory.

'Dreamweaver' is a four track EP stuffed full of powerful tracks destined to light up floors worldwide. The title track is a tough rolling house tune, with crisp, punchy drums and a hypotonic bass pulse. The narcotic vocal snippets place this deep into the late night selections.

'Through You' is also on the tougher side. A jacking beat kicks it off before some jazzy, chicago style stabs set the tone. Snippets of soulful vocals interwoven with a metallic, funky melody, bring the whole track into focus.

'Something' also contains a well chosen vocal, coupled with a taut groove that showcases Butler’s ear for space and dynamics. 'Movement' shares a similar aesthetic - Butler finding space amongst the various elements for the groove to work its magic - tech leaning house music for the summer nights.
